Masterclass lecture! No time wasted, lined up and knocked down every idol. By the way, there are much more extensive and detailed videos related to these topics. The Kolbe Center’s own “Foundations Restored” series is excellent. “Is Genesis History?” is produced by protestants but is an excellent resource and very well produced. The Institute For Creation Research is also excellent. Northwest Creation Network also has a huge catalog of lectures from the last 20 years. For bite size, layman’s explanations, the Cornerstone Network’s “Origins” program is really helpful. Honestly, Ken Hamm’s “Answers in Genesis” and “Ark Encounter” are my least favorite as they’re just far cheesier in their presentation.

The Church needs to posit a full and new metaphysic that addresses whatever is true about modern science, and exceeds it to lend more paradigmatic credibility to creationism.

Who said Noahs Flood was local? I've not heard that.
@stevencass8849

The whole Noah’s Flood was local has kind of become the talking point for people who want to hold on to a flood narrative, while still trying to accept the secular narrative that a global flood didn’t happen. Last year, I bought a Children’s Bible, written by a nun no less, for my nephew/godchild for his First Communion. The Bible spends the first few pages explains why the Creation story is just a myth, and then it goes to Noah’s Flood was only local. I wish the bookstore had had an open copy for me to read before I bought it, because I would not have gotten it for him.

Non-believers have also suggested a local but widespread flood. Isaac Asimov once suggested that a sufficiently forceful meteorite strike in the ocean near the middle East could have flooded what would have seemed to be 'all the world' to the survivors. I don't buy it---what survivors?

@stevencass8849 The flood myth is symbolic narrative. If you insist on literalist interpretation of the Bible then maybe the Baptist church is for you. We want rational people in the Catholic Church, not crazed literalists.

About a week ago I started making a scale model of the mythical 'Noah's Ark'. I switch on the blue screen and there are floods everywhere. Jungian syncronicity and the butterfly effect? It is just for illlustration as part of the co ordinate sequence for finding a heptagon.. 78 inches was the nearest whole number I could get to the length. It is the original 1/10 1/6 ratio. Not the 45 from the Methodist bible.

Excuse me, but Noah's ark was not mythical. If you're not a Catholic, please get off this channel. There are plenty of Protestant channels out there. Although you will find that they, too, believe in Noah's ark.

@@coalregioncatholic3333 I am aware that 'noah's ark' is not a myth, it relates to knowledge of a known law. The Noah story is a metaphor for it. It is a mythological construct. It was used in an attempt to explain the creation of the world and everytging in it. The arc from the ratios I gave from the trinitarian bible is the square root of 1.26041888888888... I am not in disagreement with that, but it is not the property of the catholic church and they are not the sole authority on its dynamics. These films a legally inviting people to comment. I see some are also trying to convert people with it. I am as critical of cathlociism as I am of freemasonry. The academic establishment hold that no one has the right to be protected from offence about what it has to say.

Why people think it’s a good idea to bring their babies to conferences? They won’t learn anything and they’re making it difficult for others to listen!
