Great videos, god bless all of you! I have irritated achilles for almost a year now, you could say I'm a weekend warrior type of person. For so long I just stepped into activities too quickly, now I will let my achilles rest for sure. I noticed that even walking if its something like 8km is too much. I have painful spots in mid portion. Will I ever be healthy again, will that portion of achilles get super strong again?

Yes, absolutely - if your tendon only hurts after walking 8km it is actually pretty robust and you just need to give it the right combo of rest + strength training to restore it. You can find more treatment advice here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qWekzJuLapOeqZw

I was not familiar with AT until two weeks ago. My injury began in early part of February. I been doing RICE from time to time when pain occurs. Two weeks ago, I had been referred to a PT. Question: I will begin my rehab soon, it is possible for my injury to heal less than 3 months? I also been looking for workouts while taking it easy, I am afraid I prolonged by taking it too easy. Thank you for these workouts.

It will likely take 3 months but you will be able to progressively do more and more during that period. You may also find useful advice in this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/qWekzJuLapOeqZw

is it possible to stretch the leg without stretching the tendon? The stretch at 20:39 you say that the hamstring is perfectly fine, but it does bother my tendon. any workaround for this?

Yes, keep your toes gently pointed (so Achilles doesn't stretch) and just straighten the knee and pull your leg back until you feel a gentle stretch.

In a video of you guys, Maryke said to get some kind of test from the doctor, I think it might have been a blood test. It was a „test“ you were supposed to do to rule out something that could have a negative influence on achilles tendonitis. Unfortunately I can‘t find the video anymore. What was the test you are supposed to get ?

There are several tests you can get depending on what is suspected - this video may hold the answer you're looking for: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xISF3phpsGVofmU

@@TreatMyAchilles Thank you! It might have been a test for inflammatory diseases. Not quite surr. But this video made me aware of neural tension so thank you!

Thanks for the video. Would you say romanian deadlifts are ok for Achilles tendonitis since we do not bend our knees during the move?

It is - if they still pull on the Achilles, you can just place a book or rolled towel under your heels to lift them a bit

Are squats completely contraindicated or are they possible by elevating the heels ? Thks!

Elevating the heels will help indeed. Here's our video about squats with Achilles tendonitis: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yJ9j2qqlrKpya5w
