Bev clearly has done as much research into this topic as one can. All evidence based articles and all her statements supported by facts. What a resource for us all. There are SO many myths on forums. Often by beauty therapists who state their opinions as fact. And will tick you off if you challenge or ask questions. I’ve asked for evidence on another site and was almost run off the forum! Research moves forward so what you learned in training 5 yrs ago is not now. Thank you Bev and also to Penn for doing this for us ❤️

Always love Bev and her wealth of knowledge. I searched for months for this kind of data before I bought my red light panel and never found much of anything so I'm genuinely so happy to hear someone with expertise finally speak about treatment of deeper skin tones as there's very little information out there on this topic for us. For the last few months I've been doing an experiment because I was beginning to suspect that red light was making my hyperpigmentation worse so I feel a little better knowing it might not be my imagination. I'm happy to see that research is progressing and we are gaining knowledge so rapidly.

I love my new Maysama Prana pulsed light mask. I use the pressed rooibos serum with it. About 5 months now. My freckles are much lighter and a big dark patch that was on my right cheek is gone. I use the red light nir light combo option on the mask, on the pulsed setting always. Blue light if I have a pimple, gone the next day. I’m 64 and very pale with tiny freckles all my life. I think if you’re older, you see more improvement..because there’s so much more to fix by that time lol

Thank you Penny and Bev for this extremely informative conversation about LED masks. I purchased two LED masks during the pandemic when everyone was on IG and KZitem talking about everything everyone had to sell.😊 I ended up purchasing two LED masks. One was Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLite FaceWare Pro LED Mask & the second is the Omnilux mask. I’ve never even taken the Omnilux led mask out of the box. It was about 400.00 so I should get it out of the box.😊 Dr. Gross’s mask only takes 3 minutes to use. Plus, you just hold it up to your face. I don’t know how good it is. It was more expensive than the Omnilux mask. Anyway, thank you both so much. It was much appreciated.👏👏👏

I can’t find anybody who knows the answer to my question, so I’m hoping either of you can. Bev, I would be thrilled for your guidance . After getting professional microneedling done 1 1/2 years ago, my face and neck were very damaged, resulting in extremely loose skin now from my hairline to my clavicle.. The MN also broke capillaries over my entire nose, and on my cheeks. I have a handheld. Mito brand red / NIR device, which I got because it’s highly respected brand and the handheld version has no EMFs and I have to be careful of that. When I use it on my body, it’s fine but the two times I’ve used it on my face, it made my face on fire and made me feel like I had a fever. I did not have any products on my face.. I used it for 30 seconds the first time and 45 seconds the second. I was about 6 inches from the light . When I use it on my body, it’s about 2 inches from the light . The only explanation I can think of is that the broken capillaries can’t handle the light. Or heat. I’m desperate desperate for help with my saggy skin, hoping that la panel or mask can help , and because I’m 100% homebound I can’t get any surgery to help with the tragically loose skin. Do you have any idea why my face would burn up from the lightbtherapy? I won’t use any other devices because I am terrified of further damaging my skin, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I will say that I don’t use any topicals that irritate my face by making it feel like it’s on fire or like I have a fever.

Just in case Bev is reading any of the comments…thank you both so much for putting this all together in one video for us! I’m wondering if Maysama has any plans to redesign their mask to include a sub-mental strap and improve on the nose piece? My current mask/neck dec doesn’t hit that one zone and I’d love for it to, and the nosepiece leaves weird marks on my nose so I wind up putting a cotton pad there that obviously blocks the light that I’d love to let it shine! Also, it would be so wonderful if companies had some kind of trade-in/up program where if the co dramatically improves/upgrades their models that they would give a discount to loyal customers when they turn in their “old” mask to be recycled somehow. Thanks, Penn ❤️

Thank you for another exceptional video, AS ALWAYS... so great that you were able to sit with Bev in person. ❤ I am stuck!!! I am very interested in the new current body mask because of the potential better fit (especially across the nose - ouch, my higher dose mask really HURTS the bridge of my nose, even if I tape cotton into it!!), AND also because of the submental piece... BUT.... I really like Bev, and I also trust her, and want to support her company... AND, it seems like the pulsed light is next level. But the mask looks like the "cut" of all the other masks out there.... ETA -- both companies do not offer a trial period... no way to test the fit of these masks before committing to the investment. But, I will be taking the leap and buying one of them 😊 I would love your guidance here... THANK YOU ❤🙏 Also, so curious if you are going to start doing some lives??? Can't wait if you do!

Thank you for the video! So helpful as always. There's one thing that wasn't fully clear to me about the use of pulse light. It was mentioned that an "invisible" to the eye frequency was used on the mask so we don't have to worry about the strobing effect. So, does that mean that as long as the eye can recognize the pulsing then messages to the brain are being sent beyond the skincare benefit? Which is why we we would need to protect the eye with the panel since that's not within the scope of these products, to treat conditions beyond skin. Did I get that right?

Please proceed with caution when deciding to start using LED. I have olive skin tone and just after ten days of using it for 10 min a day, I started developing a “ pseudo melasma” diagnosed by a dermatologist - it’s not true melasma but a type of induced hyperpigmentation . It’s been months and even after many treatments it has barely faded.

I do have question. I think I have a melasma spot but not sure (it is a dark blue spot and seems to be under the skin, like a stain) hardly noticeable and no pain or texture. I do have hyperpigmentation and have been battling it for a couple of years now. Should I have it looked at and confirmed that it is melasma by a health official? I also have this vertical white streak running from the out corner of my eye down my cheek. Nothing is there just paler than the rest of my skin. When I wear blush both the melasma(?) spot and this white streak is more noticeable. Sorry for the long question.

Thank you for Red light discussion. May I suggest taking hydrolyzed collagen peptides 1,2,3,5,10 for skin, muscles tendons & joints❤

Is it ok to use this neck mask if you have thyroid issues?

I have been using a panel daily for years with Maysama serum. I wonder if I should now invest in a mask with the newest technology. (Current Body 2 or Maysama pulsed mask). I would appreciate input on mask vs panel. Black Friday is approaching and I’m sure there will be good sales. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for this helpful information. How does the Maysama mask compare to omnilux? How do I know which to purchase?

Are there any other types of serums you can recommend? I'm glad to hear I can use something for hydration. I do my LED light first thing in the morning when my face is clean but then dry feeling. I didn't like that dry, tight feeling. Great info!

So many great options- some will simply hydrate while others may have light activated ingredients. Example: If you use Photozyme- their DNA youth recovery is excellent before LED bc it contains a DNA repair enzyme that is activated by visible light 💡 Other great serums that hydrate well are the Prequel multi quench, Sukoyaka Suhada essence, Isntree TW Real bifida serum, Iunik Beta Glucan Power moisture serum, of course the Maysama original and new light serums (and Maysama’s mist is excellent) 💙

What should i use? I have medium skin with no melasma, but I have hyperpigmentation. I am so confused! Penn i read your comment where you said skin tone in the middle with no melasma could use red + NIR pulsing, but what if you have hyperpigmentation?

Thank you Bev and Penny! I have the Maysama panel and use it without the pulsed light, is it ok to just close my eyes and not wear eye protection?

I wonder about plateauing. Is there a time at which the mask will no longer produce results or do you taper down with time?

Great video… but why such low numbers of LED lights in product? Don’t the actual NUMBERS of LED lights matter?
