Ok this just went from "Mummy, I got a gold star from Miss Johnson today for reading out the whole Alphabet in front of the whole class" to "I recently wrote a research paper during my 3rd PHD Degree which is getting published in the next Academic Journal of which I'm being nominated for a Nobel Prize" real quick.

Some bonus info on Aventus. Perfumer is Jean-Christoph Herault. Aventus uses a very unique captive musk. The pineapple note is inspired by years of experimentation done by Herault’s guru, the legendary perfumer Pierre Bourdon. Thank you very much George for this wonderful video. Yes we want more of this. I’m sick and tired of top 10s. I’m starting to unsubscribe from most of the fragrance channels I used to follow. You are a breath of fresh Mellisime Imperial.

When you went into advanced territory, that's when I started vibing with the video so I know that's where I'm at. Definitely not in the pro area, but I like the historical stuff, the influential aspects, and then some of the pro stuff like the molecular level stuff is very interesting to me but I mainly have speculative knowledge on that. Really good video though, I think this type of video has been done before but not in a way that's resonated with me as much as this one did where I feel like this actually is representative of the different levels of fragrance enthusiasm.

Now that I've watched this video, I'd say I probably explain Aventus to people at a 3 and I understand at level 4. Fun aside, I cheer a little everytime I see Alberto Morillas mentioned. At level 5 you started speaking another language and I spaced out and started thinking about my childhood summers and had an idea for a dialogue exchange in the novel I'm currently writing. You said "Eternity" and I said out loud, "What?" 5 stars, A+ video.

Thanks Babbs! I mean George. 😄 How silly of me. Shout out to Babbs for giving us a peek into the formula. Definitely agree with the ambrox substitution as well as combining vetivol with vertofix. No question about the DHM too. Herault was a distant disciple of Bourdon after all. My guess is that they skipped out on the labdanum and indoles in the modern Aventus. Hyde-y accords in the base don't sell well to bros. 😆

That was really cool, I have all the ingredients in my lab (apart from Ambergris) and will try to cook my own Aventus according to your recipe. In the book the ghost perfumer it says though that Jean-Christophe Hérault, the creator of Aventus, combined Ambroxan with a certain type of musk that Olivier creed used exclusively.

I think Creed is also advertising their special signature “amber” accord, which is most likely a captive. I can almost certainly smell Ambroxan in Aventus though, I think you could be on to something here. Also please send me a decant of “your” take on Aventus when it’s ready, I’d greatly appreciate it!

Make more like this, absolutely awesome to watch Someone describing a fragrance in more than the usual note/pyramid breakdown, like ATH does it! Also I would like to discuss that there most likely is Ambroxan mixed with Musk or a special Captive in Aventus, as well as Timbersilk, probably mixed in low Quantities with the majority Iso-E Super, and finally probably Hedione and some kind of Aldehyde is in there as well.
