The idea of Chim is basically when someone in the Elder scrolls universe realizes that everyone is fake and they're not real. Essentially becoming a god.

Thats why when they described Pelinor Whitestrakes rages in a previous vid you watched as "Its was like a dream without its dreamer." Its an oh shit moment the more you learn about the universe.

That's Zero Summing. CHIM is doing that but retaining your sense of self and becoming a schism of the Godhead.

Within the lore when someone understands that all of existence is merely a part of the dream of the Godhead. One of two things can happen. You either come to the understanding that you are not. While still having the ability to state that you are. And effectively become a god undergoing chim. Or losing one’s ego to the rationality that existence is not real. Which is referred to as zero Summing

Yeah, the Dragonbreak was Bethesda's way to make the player feel like their choices mattered. Orcs weren't playable before Morrowind and the Dragonbreak helped canonize the ending that made that possible.

To understand Chim you need to understand that the entire TES Universe is a Dream. Chim is basically like Lucid Dreaming, being aware of it being a dream, but it's the dream character. The process of attaining Chim has one of two outcomes that apparently depend on your personality. You either "Zero Sum" with crushing realization of you not being real making you vanish from existence, or you achieve Chim which is basically becoming a God (kinda, sorta...). Two characters that are explicitly stated to have achieved Chim are Tiber Septim (Talos) and Vivec. Tiber Septim conquered the whole continent of Tamriel and became a God, taking place of the "Missing God" Shor/Lorkhan, and Vivec had passionate love with Molag Bal among other things

Achieving Chim...it's like Neo learning the matrix isn't real. Becoming THE One. If you don't achieve chim, you Zero-Sum and Pooof. You never existed.

It's kind of sad if you think about it. It's pretty showing how chaotic the Elder Scrolls cosmology is even within the confines of the Mundas dimension/reality. It's pretty much saying your freewill means nothing when a Dragon Break happens you are still controlled by the temporal effects. It's crisis fatigue. It may not be as terrible as the SCP verse or as massive scale as massive stellar scale like Warhammer 40k when a Dark Age of Technology temporal engine or C'Tan super weapon actives somehow. But when it's near to home and can be still caused by practically anything related to Akatosh or Lorkan's heart your personal life is still screwed at you and your region's and family's expense beyond your freewill even if it's only bound to a continent or within the confines of Nirn which still has several reality altering phenomenon anomalies outside of Tamriel. It's still close to home and effects you. A cruel imperfect world that had a bad foundation to be born in when it happens.

Mannimarco himself described the Dragonbreak as "being here and there and here again." I imagine it's pretty trippy to be caught up in one.

I don't think Bethesda will use the dragonbreak to explain events in skyrim. The only thing where the player has a significant choice is the civil war, but i doubt it is big enough of event to cause the dragonbreak. Plus if you finish the war on stormcloak side, you will find a note inside the keep on the southern border with the news of imerial forces gathering and preparing to cross the border. So they will probably will make the empire a canonical winner
