A look around Primrose Hill Station, open from 1851 to 1992. The station served the Chalk Hill area of Camden, north of Central London.
It originally opened as Hampstead Road, but was known as Chalk Farm for nearly 90 years before it's final name change in 1950 to Primrose Hill.
The video also looks at the adjacent LNWR Chalk Farm Station (which was linked by a footbridge and at one time had a shared entrance with Primrose Hill) and a quick look at the nearby Camden Roundhouse. Both these stations occupied a number of sites and had a variety of names.
Despite being closed for over 30 years, the station building and platforms remain, however access is very limited due to it being located on an active line. This was the first intermediate stop on the West Coast mainline, located a mile north of London Euston.
