The plan was to spend a few days exploring the Girraween National Park, Bald Rock National Park, Boonoo Boonoo National Park, and Undercliff Falls.
While out on the trail to the Junction, light rain started to fall at times, which made the option of sunset on the Pyramid a bad idea. Instead, I went up to Castle Rock for sunset and watched the rain start to increase and the wind pick up. That night, the rain set in, and I wasn't keen being stuck in a small tent with wind and rain, so I decided to call it and head home.
So, as a result I decided to leave Girraween and Bald Rock for another day and headed to Captain Thunderbolt's hideout instead for a look and spent a bit of time wandering around and thinking about what it must have been like back in the 1800s hiding there as the rain continued to fall.
After Thunderbolt's hideout, it was into Boonoo Boonoo Falls for a quick look to see if all the recent rain had made a difference from the a few months ago when I was last there followed with a quick trip to Undercliff Falls which by this time the rain had set in so it was really a quick look. Another trip back is on the cards to check these Falls out properly.
