Such a good tutorial! But, I wanna give some tips... 1. Instead of use 3d cursor then adding plane, you can duplicate main floor to make the main house 2. Do boolean on first roof first, then duplicate 3. Same with number 1, you can insert the main wall and duplicate it to make windows

Last month I literally started a project of recreating a house both inside and out for an online roleplay campaign... It was really fun but also oh my god trying to figure out how to do the architecture... I cant wait to see more of these videos!!

That window shows you how appalling Blender is for hard surface modeling... the fact you need to inset and extrude and delete the face twice and it leaves a hole in the solid is simply tragic. So complicated for so little result.

I was using blender and tested maya before 2015 it was very hard to model to scale so I decide to start with sketchup, now many years later I'm looking for alternative for sketchup as development stopped few yesrs ago and do not see any improvements. It looks like shortly blender will be kitchen design alternative for sketchup, fingers crossed.

Do you think that ArchiPack Pro can do a home with a walkout basement with 2 levels above it. I bet your followers would like to see that even if it is in 3 videos.

As you said in your other Sketchup vs Blender videos, Blender is not a good choice for a project like this. As an architect I typically use Sketchup for conceptual models and Vectorworks for construction drawings. I have considered using Sketchup & Layout for both conceptual and construction documents but I find Layout is lacking many of the tools I'm used to in Vectorworks. I know there are other architects that carry a project all the way through using Sketchup and Layout, but I'm just not there yet.

Layout is soo slow for large scale drawing sets. A 4 story building with 50 references and 29 pages becomes a monster very fast.

@@MichaelFlynn0 The only projects I've seen done in Layout are high end residences. You're probably right, Layout would be too slow for a complex project. Also I suspect you would have a hard time getting an engineer to work with Layout, which means a lot of exporting to DWG files..
