The Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens are great for drawing and illustration. The four sizes allow varying detail to be created easily. One has a brush type nib that is flexible and allows a varying line thickness to your strokes. The other three have firm nibs, each having a different size. They range from 0.3mm, 0.5mm, and 0.7mm. The brush nib has its own range of a 1-5mm line thickness.
They are a pigmented India ink that dries quickly to a dark black value and looks very consistent. It is waterproof, permanent, odorless, acid-free, and pH-neutral.
Faber-Castell is a German company that has been in business since 1761, and is one of the largest and oldest manufacturers of pens and other art supplies.
I reviewed this set of pens and was very impressed with the results. I was able to easily draw and illustrate various images / artwork. I was very pleased with how the ink dried, and of how fluid it felt when drawing. The ink doesn't bleed through the paper either because it dries very quickly and very dark. You can create many different types of details and textures by using certain shading techniques such as hatching, crosshatching, stippling, or by varying your line thickness.
If you are looking for some ink pens for your art, I highly recommend these!
