I'm glad her grandmother shared her memories of The Depression with Fannie. It's lovely to have captured that time. It's sad we haven't been able to do better since Fannie first began to notice the sense of divisiveness in the world. Great novel and film!

I was at The Foreigner at the Majestic and met Joe and Jaston for the first of several times. I wish I had met Ms. Flagg too. I do have several of her books and her cookbook.

I love Bobbie. Unfortunately, I met Fannie Flagg. Flagg grew up not far from where I grew up. Never was interested in her or her career.
