Lisa H Exactly! If we had been doing to cats and dogs what farmers are doing to their cows, then we would have been arrested and jailed for zoophelia, and for kitten\puppy murder in most "civilized countries', with our faces plastered all over the media next to the caption "perverts"! The genitalia of any and all animals should be off-limits to "humans", and the only exception would be animal's castration \ operation while under narcosis. Only perverts would find that limitation difficult to respect!! Thank you Joey for your relentless campaign for the animals!!

I used to help out in a "humane" dairy-farm in the 1980's, and the cows walked and placed themselves over the milking machine, the milking equipment found their udders, the udders were milked, the equipment released when the milk flow was much reduced or if the cow moved away out of discomfort, and the cows walked away to their places, all on their own. No farmer is needed for the milking-procedure at any time in the morning, evening, night or otherwise, as milking was automated allready back in the 1980's. Farmers do not have to wake up in the morning to milk their cows, unless that is something that they do because they enjoy it.

Well done Joey, thin this is your best debate so far. You were calm and put all your points across really well. I agree with you that we cannot attack farmers as they will use this against us and many farmers are hoping this happens. It is something they are using regularly to win sympathy from the public against us. We need to stop this as personal attacks are helping the farmers and the meat industry so we must stop doing this.
@1234Cheesus

Realistically I think what Joey says is true, it’s futile to even bother arguing/attacking farmers they’re a byproduct of the demand. Decrease the demand (Consumers), this in turn reduces the supply. It’s nigh on impossible to sway someone who’s livelihood depends on meat/dairy production and is all they have known their whole life, farmers are not your average omnivore.

@otakunthevegan4206
6 жыл бұрын
ASMRyouVEGANyet? The poor calf is tortured for about 6 months by the dairy farmer, kept in a dark cage and with no light and never allowed out. The lack of movement over time makes the flesh stringy. I come from a shameful farming family so I kind of know these horrible things, I even met a dairy farmer that was defending veal. The taste of human meat is much like pork but with the consistency of not yet fully formed veal, according to a man in the 1930s that cooked and ate a human leg, the leg belonged to a man that died in an automobile accident and he asked the doctor if he could have the leg, and the doctor, being the moral ethical man he was, of course said yes (my kind of Doctor, I wish more were like him). The man cooked and ate the leg and did a news paper article on it.

Great job Joey. That farmer was so bad at debating, he had nothing to say but childish comments. Glad to hear James Whale is seemingly coming to some ethical realisations at the end... I say seemingly, I have my doubts that he'll ever change. I've thought for years that he's bound to realise one day that he's a total hypocrite, and there is a victim there within his decisions. You're doing good work in Britain, keeping the debate going in the mainstream.

The scariest thing is that when I was younger I had the same view as the farmer. Now I see animals as the individuals that they are and think there is no ethical way to exploit anyone. Vegan for life

Maria Villafan , truly, but Joey did a very good job of keeping composed....and it's perfectly fine to show some emotion when the lives of innocent individuals are at stake.

I thought it was great, because now everyone knows they're buying their animal products from inbreds. It's always better to have an idiot on the other side of the debate because it makes you look better.

20:50 No, you do not need to know that an animal gave their life. No animal gave their life. The life was violently taken from the animal by force while the animal did everything they could to survive. Do not give children some bullshit story where animals want to die so that we can consume their corpses. Tell children the real truth. Tell them that the animals want to live, but we are stronger so we can just force them to die for us through the application of violence. This is the objective truth. It is time we stop being pathetic cowards who hide behind lies and and start facing the truth. If you do not like the truth, then you should change it, not try to hide from it.

Joey mate! You always manage to stay calm. How? Don't ever feel the need to apologise for getting 'heated' or 'emotional'. The topic of discussion is slavery, murder, genocide. These topics naturally arouse certain emotions. You are the best at what you do. Please keep going, but remember to give yourself a break top. You've been on the road for ages! In and out of peoples homes, hostels etc, up at 5am in the freezing cold to bear witness, being confronted by close minded 'unwoke' humans. Take a rest for a couple of days, and get back out there. You're an inspiration to us all my friend! Love from Manchester, UK 🇬🇧

Farmers should be put in jail when they harm an animal. It just goes to show how much they need to change from being cruel to being kind. No animal deserves any of what they are doing.

When it comes to meat eaters it is always about the taste but what they don't realize is the horrific consequences to the animals. I haven't eaten meat in over 30 years and I'm healthier than most people my age and look 10 years younger. So if anyone says well I can't get my protein yes you can through plants. As my friend would say people need not to be a book of excuses.

So cool you were in this talk! But I think that farmer asked your day job just so that he could use it against you! For example, if you were a waiter he could say, "Without my work, you wouldn't have a job!" or a grocerer "I keep your store in business!" ect.

Small correction @Joey Carbstrong: slavery started to be widespread during the Neolithic, around 10,000 years ago (14:06). Though outlawed worldwide at present, it very much exists today in various parts of the world. Widespread animal slavery is now being challenged by the vegan community, and it's thanks to great activist like you, Joey, that the animals may see their condition abolished in the near future -- at least, recognising that what is happening to them is the result of their status as slaves.Thank you very much for standing your ground!
