Been a likfetime fan of Fats, and now, aged 87, still am. This recording, never heard on the radio here in Britain, is, I believe, one of the best recordings ever. The vocal and piano are superb. England, January, 2024.

And invented rock and roll! Can you imagine had he lived past 34 yrs old? The usa would be so much better and they would be no killing president Kennedy. Jesus is coming soon. Im sure when who get to heaven will hear more if his work there. I love salvation cuz you can never lose it. If only people could just realize how fragile our bodies are. I would of given fats my lungs on a donation had I been there to help him. Total love and respect for this angel of God. Rip fsts.❤

It's impossible to leave these amazing recordings without feeling happy and uplifted. Fats surrounded himself with a tight musically like minded ensemble, they're all singing from the same hymn sheet as it were. His subtle rhythmic piano playing and the humorous asides as he sings is totally captivating.

My sentiments exactly. Am just 3 months shy of 80 years of age and I just hope that Fats and those of his day, will live on for many years after we are gone. The "music" (I use the term lightlly), that the younger generation follow today has nothing that demands a long life. No musicality and and no lyrics worth talking about.
