Danke, Herr Janowski, danke!!

I whinged about the camerawork and general production of the version under François Leleux last year. This time it was excellent.👍

just came from it. enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away. so far, getting a better sense of it in this performance. slightly brisker pace helps. seems to be more dynamic range as well. ever heard Ozawa's recording of this on DG?

I find Faure's music enigmatic: exquisite but innocuous; beautiful but boring. In this suite I find only the "Sicilienne" to be really memorable, but the entire work as presented here is only exquisite and beautiful, making me, for its duration, quite unaware of its less attractive qualities.

Your remark says a great deal more about you than it does about the music.
