The story - A doorman found that if you mixed water with the chemical you could melt snow. Using this information he mixed the two and started to pour the liquid on the sidewalk. When the liquid started to boil, the man threw the can onto the sidewalk next to the trash can. When he threw it, more chemicals spilled causing a smoky reaction with the snow/sidewalk. That is when a passer-by reported the smoking can. Engine 44 arrived on scene and found that the sidewalk was registering heat over 220 degrees and that the can was over 360 degrees (Much more than the freezing weather outside).
