Yea you can’t expect or judge someone’s love for you by their look on their face. If so then you will easily be tricked or fooled by fake people. This lesson was necessary for the young man. Someone in the kids past probably kept a stain look and that someone probably traumatized him by their behavior towards him. That could still be a past trauma yet to be dealt with. Now he misjudges everyone having that look. It’s deep. Which explains why the kids smile faded away. Love is by action not by looks.

it’s not to say emotions are not real, but the reactions we have are always negotiable. By internalizing your emotions and pondering on why you react in certain ways or why you have certain defense mechanisms helps you to contain and control your emotions. For if you know yourself you know your fellow man and his motivations. Emotions are important they give hints to others on how you feel, likewise they allow you yourself to know how you feel. You just need to listen to it. If you love yourself, it gives you the power to love others.

He means that by the "reaction" of listening intently and responding proactively, he's reacting with love. Not being a slave to your own emotions, is a certain level of psychological maturity that almost nobody ever knows. Mentally, the world is full of "old children" stuck in their primal stage. If you think adults are sick of teens' bs, just look at how much adults hate other adults. Psychological development happens alongside the physical, and it's so important above all else, being the basis of every perception, yet nobody teaches the 'developing adults of the future' anything professionally SOLID until they are already twisted. Once a human becomes 17-18, they are mostly SET into all the neurological pathways their brain developed into. We cannot rid the world of evil until it's stopped at the source of it's growth; in the developing minds of our youth. These future leader's of our world are disrespectfully, yet unintentionally, treated like they are not human, UNTIL they are also adults. They are the most FRAGILE, and possess the most POTENTIAL. We must stop discarding their mindstate' ❤
