I’m a nurse & my gf is a corrections officer….I make more money than her but we definitely have a 50/50 relationship…..And I’m a woman that doesn’t mind a 50/50 relationship….So many women want the masculine to pay for EVERYTHING & that’s just not reality these days….My gf takes me on dates….I take her out on dates….We go half on vacations, etc….And when we move in together next year we will be 50/50 on bills….Thats just reality and there’s nothing wrong with that….People need to understand that you should have a partner that “DOES THEIR PART”…..You some need to make as much as me to do your part….

This is a real one. I make more money than my girlfriend/partner my Bae. I currently pay all the bills. I’m wanting her to focus on her health including mental health (therapy), and going back to school. I’m 47 and she’s 40. I love everything about her. I wanted her first. I love the way she cooks , cares for me, etc. I’m the FEM, she’s the STUD. She can have whatever she wants. I LOVE her and she LOVES me. Money is the trash of us. We need it to live productive lives, but with or without it in abundance I love her. ❤❤❤❤🌈🌈🌈🌈💯. I am a huge fan of you guys.

Great topic. This needs to be talked about more in the lesbian community because it's very much so REAL. I prefer a woman who can at least take care of her necessities such as a house, car, and sundries. Those are BASICS to being an adult.

The character of a individual shouldn't be judged on what amount of money you make. My last relationship lasted over 17 years. I worked my ass off 6 and seven days a week. She spent money faster than I could make it. She only worked just enough. I gave her everything she wanted until the moment I was forced to wake up and retake control my own money. Separate our finances and fix the mess. I was bringing enough money but she wasn't paying the bills. That will not happen again.

This is a really good & necessary topic. At the end of the day, everyone is making some type of judgment went it comes to relationships. I think people get defensive when phrases like “out of your league” are used. I call it misalignment. And the fact is money causes the most tension in relationships. No matter how self-righteous you want to be around other areas, e.g., intellect, understanding, compassion, intimacy, etc., for a lot of people it’s going to come down to money even for those who truly want to prioritize other areas. If you can spot certain cues early about an individual’s relationship to money, you may be able to avoid disappointment by not pursuing someone in the first place.

Asking God to prepare you for the blessing you are asking for resonated so much for me. I have a friend who received something she had been asking for a long time and when she got it she didn’t know how to handle it. It’s always important to pray clarity

I’m a”late-in-life masc” who’s also changed careers after more than 20 yrs in the previous field. It’s hitting me pretty hard how important it is to be financially and emotionally sound and secure. I wasn’t taught financial literacy, either but I’m learning now. I’m intentional to continue securing my finances and l hold space to attract someone who has an abundance mindset and is open to encourage me in that direction.

I don’t mind making more money - than a masculine woman , but the WAGE GAP CANT BE TOOOO FAR😅 . Because that gap can show up when it’s time to book TRIPS, extracurricular activities may be limited , the level of gifting or gift exchange may differ, etc. But I also don’t want a women to be secretly going into debt or spending damn near her last to “rise” to a standard of life I already have. Money convos are definitely important . But if y’all are “serious , serious”, then a discussion surrounding each person contributing to a joint account or something is feasible. JUST so neither person feels like they’re doing more than the other and it brings some level of equity to the relationship for the mutual things yall do together .

I honestly don't care...It's true not to date down. I won't date down but dating down to me is not having a career, no ambition, no drive to build yourself and take care of yourself and responsibilities, I have those things and I can't see myself with someone who doesn't wanna grow mentally, emotionally, and financially. I wanna be treated like a woman and if she wanna spoil me (pick up the bill) go ahead.
@TheShellaSpherePodcast

That’s what we meant by dating down. Someone who’s not driven, irresponsible, a liability that’s draining you mentally and emotionally.

Let’s take you and Alicia for example, y’all been friends since y’all teens, what do you thjnk the difference is or the reason why a friendship may last longer than a relationship?

I disagree with your revelation regarding karma. I believe everyone especially people living only to please themselves gets to a point where it’s no longer working. That gives a person a constant shot of dopamine that eventually tapers off and doesn’t bring as much pleasure as it used to. In order to survive you have to supply your brain with serotonin or you’ll be empty; this is why so many successful people aren’t happy. ( Read the dopamine nation by Anna Lembke for more information)

Agreed. Karma is real. Energy is everything. Karma comes & goes it ebbs & flows. There’s good & bad karma. As stated life comes in cycles. If your objective is to move funny-as in finessing. Trust, somewhere along your journey grasshopper you shall be finessed & you will be aware of why you received that wrath of condemnation. ✊🏽🤎

You assume that we’re not being ourselves because you associate our stances with the hetero dynamic. You already assigned it so to you we’re mimicking what you already assigned as a mans role. Thanks for tuning in, though!
