At 130 and 135 Floyd was just the perfect fighter, nobody was even close. The fact that he moved up so many times and still remained undefeated is just a testament to his skill. Definitely the best boxer of his era and best I've ever seen.

Floyds fighting style is an evolution of what Charlie Burley was doing in the 40's. If you don't know who Charlie Burley is you should find out. This fight looks similar to Charlie Burley vs Oakland Billy Smith with the smaller man out maneuvering the bigger man. Masterful performance by Floyd in this one. Every young fighter who wishes to truly learn the art form should see this.

masterpiece performance by mayweather. its a shame people can't get past his cocky persona and the whole "money" thing to see what a incredible boxer he is, i dont need to like him outside the ring, hes not my friend, i love what he brings to boxing, his ring i.q and defense are untouchble. how he takes a opponents game plan away...etc

This. So fucking much this. Outside the ring the dude is a complete penis. Inside of it he's a genuine fucking genius. Wis Dom Nah I’m pretty comfortable saying he’s kind of a shit person. For someone who is a professional fighter, having a history of domestic abuse is one of the most low life things you can do. I know how to separate the person from the boxer, but “doing more good than bad” is not a good concept. That’s not to say people can’t move on after doing bad things. He has definitely matured.

PJ Gameboy It's not always about who's bigger, it's about the skills. I've studied a shit ton of Floyd fights, Robinson, DLH, Ali, so on & so forth and it's really close to call since each fighter outside of Floyd & DLH fought in different eras, different training methods, medical science & whatnot so really, it'd be better to just make a best of the best per era since it's impossible to make a true all time list. As far as the past 20 years go, Floyd is definitely the best in my opinion, with RJJ a close second despite getting knocked out by bums as of late.

These days I get the feeling Roger and Floyd just go through the motions to help Floyd out and offer only a few helpful words here and there to reinforce some things for Floyd. But really I get the feeling Floyd is really his own man and others really let him set the approach to each fight and the others come with some insight to aid him here and there. But these older videos seem to show a younger man who is still heavily guided and shaped by a more articulate Roger and Floyd Snr.
