I remember being at this fight. Floyd Mayweather put on quite a show. You couldn't see it in the broadcast, but when Mayweather knocked Bruseles down and the referee sent Mayweather to the neutral corner, Mayweather was dancing in the corner it was hilarious.

what a lot of people forget is that boxing is a business, there are so many factor to why a fight is not made. many casual fans blame the fighters for not wanting it but it so much more complicated than that. these days there are rival promotions, rival networks and even rivalries between promoters and fighters like mayweather and arum, Floyd blames arum for not getting him the fights he wanted and he has a point. since leaving Floyd has fought better fighters and made much more money, arum wanted Floyd to fight margarito but Floyd wanted bigger fights like Mosley and de la hoya. Floyd was offered 8 million to fight margarito but would go on to make much more money and a bigger statement fighter more well known fighters and if i was a boxer i would want to fight the biggest fighters because i would make more money. it easy for fans these days for fans to watch other sports like mma and wwe where big fights get made but ufc and wwe all the fighters are under one promotion. it used to be this way but there so many sanctioning bodies that its easy to avoid fighters there needs to be one champion per weight or force the champions to fight each other.

The argument is that he should have fought Mosley at 135 several years prior. The argument for De La Hoya is by the time Floyd was physically ready for him Oscar was way past his prime and been in many wars. Which goes to show how great Oscar was barely losing to Money. Floyd’s career was managed carefully by people who cared about him. They didn’t allow him to fight in any risky fights since the Castillo fights. Every fight after was a showcase of his skills. Had he been matched at the wrong times versus these guys and some guys he never fought, we would have seen Floyd in incredible fights like Sugar Ray Robinson and his record would look more like 60-5 right now. Freak losses would have happened to random guys only to be avenged in rematches and trilogies. We the fans were robbed of those great fight stories to tell, but Floyd would have likely suffered from some form of CTE had his career been handled the way we would have liked. Summed up, greatest skilled fighter to ever do it, great fights hindered by boxing politics.

+msrubie11 Yo don't believe a word this guy says. The whole purpose of his boxing channel is to lie about mayweather in order to attract views, it is real disgusting and quite frankly SAD. He makes videos about mayweather and any one who is associated with him (al haymon for example) and talks bad about them ALL the time. I mean it's ok if he thinks floyd is a fraud and wants him to be exposed, but there is a problem he can't do it with FACTS. His channel is NOT a boxing channel, as much as he tries to make you think it is, it's a HATE channel. I tried to have a discussion with him NUMEROUS times and he never responded. He NEVER responds to any one who tries to present an argument on his comment section, because he KNOWS he would get destroyed with FACTS. I can easily destroy his argument right now, and I will. First of all floyd mayweather PRIOR to becoming a CASH WOW was one of the most avoided fighters in boxing. He hit hard in the lower weights, he could fight on the inside and was impossible to out-box (which he still is). Floyd walked up to ricky hatton's dad and asked him for a fight and his dad said "my son is not ready for you yet", those are his exact words. Floyd called out kostya NUMEROUS times even before he came to his division and never got a response. Kostya was champ at 140 but was not really active when floyd finally came to his division and was in line to fight gatti. This fight that floyd is fighting is a TITLE ELIMINATOR, and his second since his first fight at 140 which is corley. By the time floyd ficnally fought gatti (who was being advised to not fight floyd also by the way), kostya LOST to hatton and retired. Floyd wanted to fight cotto in 2005 but bob arum didn't want him to fight cotto (whom he said out of his own mouth is too green for floyd) . Matter of fact THIS fight was a TEST to see how a floyd vs cotto fight would be, and after floyd played with this guy (who was part of cotto's team) this fight wasn't going to happen. Also, cotto ADMITTED that he NEVER asked for a fight with floyd when they were BOTH with top rank. He was asked this question in 2012 before the fought at 154. With oscar LOL, floyd BEAT oscar already which should have been a UD and not a SD. Oscar wanted the bigger share AGAIN even though he LOST and so floyd fought hatton and took his undefeated streak at 147. With margarito and pual williams. This one is interesting because Floyd had two PPV bouts with gatti and zab in 2005 and 2006. They did 365 thousand views with gatti and 374 000 with zab. Floyd WASN'T paid for EITHER of those two bouts. So when he ASKED for a fight with hatton for at least 10 million or cotto for at least 10 million (yes he asked to fight them) and at least 25 million to fight oscar IF he fights margarito for 8 million, and arum said NO floyd LEFT by BUYING his own contract and fought the #2 welterweight baldomir who had beaten zab before him and then fought oscar for 30 million and hatton for 25 million. Once floyd left top rank and bob arum then he COULDN'T fight margarito and coto any more (because they stayed with bob) Pual williams was a prospect in 2006 and he became champ vs margarito in 2007 floyd was fighting bug money fights like I told you earlier. By the way floyd was thinking about retiring since 2006 when he BROKE his hand vs balmoir. At the end of 2007 floyd said he was takeing two years off (he said this JUST before he fought hatton to the HBO team) and in 2008 pual williams lost and then regained his title and eventually moved up to 160 by the time floyd came back and fought again at 147. Floyd called spadafora out and he was no where near as good as floyd. He was only known for giving floyd good work in sparring after floyd came off of a lay-off. Frietes and casamyor were called out by floyd NUMEROUS times and they NEVER responded. This guy loves to TWIST the truth. Never take anything he says serious ESPECIALLY about floyd.

AHMED HERSI I know he is full of BS, I have watched all Floyd fights and followed his career since he turned Pro. What most people like this fool, hate Floyd, (the Black fighter), was smart enough to outsmart a greedy promoter, (Bob Arum) and buy out his own contract. He marketed himself even before he got from under Arum umbrella. He hired great management in Al Haymon, and become his own Boss. Not to mention he started his own Promotion Company and remain unbeaten. What people like him want is for Mayweather to be like a lot other Black Boxers, who have unfortunately retired old beaten and broke, like the Great Joe Louis. They never tell the real story. Joe Louis served his country in time of war and donated his Purses while fighting Exhibition Fights in the Army. When he got out finished his career and was living well the IRS took his money. They said he had not paid Taxes on the Purses he donated to the Troops, while serving mind you. He went back in the ring as an older fighter and we know the rest. He retired Broke and Poor. Holyfield and Tyson are as worst. Neither was a Joe Louis who was one of the "Greatest" of all times. So when I hear them down a fellow Boxer, who had the audacity to be smarter than they were, it really boggles the mind. Mike not only blew his millions, but the same people that hate Floyd once hated him. How can he say anything bad about Floyd when we know he carried himself like clown in out and inside the ring. Yet his accomplishments in Boxing remain intact, as they should. Holyfield, a goof Boxer but another horrible businessman. He built a house with 100 rooms and could not afford the taxes. Yet he too say horrible things about a fellow boxer. It causes me to be really look at them with a certain disdain. Why are you really saying these things? Everything you say is fact and most fans of Mayweather know this no matter the culture. It is disheartening when you read the smear campaign that some engage in to try and tear him down. It was my first time on the cite and I definitely saw the one sided bias comments he engaged it. But as I said, real Boxing Fans who love the Sport can never take the accomplishments of a fighter from him by being bias. I hope other fighters whether active or not will not join Mike or Evander in their hateful tone. I enjoyed your comments.

msrubie11 kl man i thought you were a casual who didn't know the truth. Your right man tyson and holyfield are haters. The thing is they are black men, and it is really disappointing that they feel that way. Especially tyson, he once called floyd dirt. I was like what the fuck after all you did? I honestly think that he wants to getting good with the media but i also think he's jealous and seeking attention. Floyd kept his jab going and he got points for that but also it's just plain good bowing. It set him up for his powerful right and on the inside his uppercuts were good. He was able to stay off the ropes with his jab backing up his opponent rather than hanging on the ropes. Nice work I think, When he did have his opponent on the ropes he was able to get body shots and head shots. He was able to keep the fight in the middle of the ring and was able to control everything until the last moments before the bell when his opponent went down twice. Again, his jab was the ticket to this fight, a well deserved victory for Mayweather.

Floyd had the all leather ring attire thats cool , probably was good for keeping him warm walking to the ring so he stayed loose and ready , i think the best outfit he had was vs philip he had fur shorts , it was real spiffy

It's so great watching Floyd Jr fighting, one has to be crazy hating such a smart and talented fighter as Mayweather. They stop the fight to protect Henry, a good decision though.

Floyd was mean in this fight. He was tired of all the cap by these other guys saying they would step in there then they don't and makeup excuses. Floyd wanted to make a statement against Bruseles.

He was P4P number one and they didn't want to fight him until he was bankable to them. Then they came crawling to him to get that money and they made more with him than they ever had before. Remember that.

That he could fight so well and still listen and have conversations with announcers/broadcast team is another thing that set him apart. Other thing i noticed that's been said for years by 'commentators/internet warriors' is that he only choose who to fight....here you can see clearly him calling out to anyone at his best at the time to come fight em... hilarious!!

Are you really that naive? Just because a fighter calls another out , doesn't mean he truly wants that fight, of course he will say he wants to. But in reality it took him several years before he fought those guys

@@isaialfaro8660 they only wanted mayweather after hr fought delahoya bc he became the cash king. Theyd gladly take a L for a career payday
