Oh my goodness! Two things, we have been there with hauling water but we only had to for animals. I read down to see that you plan on a well in summer. I hope you get that! We had only 2 rules when moving running water and indoor plumbing. We didn’t have that for the first few months. But for as cold as it has gotten you guys are troopers!

Then you explained why it was slanting. 👍 You guys have cleared a lot of trees around the homesteads. Looks good. Poor Perry & Carolyn got shortchanged with the water 😀 Thanks for guys. You don’t need to apologize for anything!!! I can only imagine what your family is going through at this time. Continued prayers. I love your process of going and getting water for everyone! The way you guys work together is one of the reasons I love to watch you guys! Are you keeping your camera ready for when a moose does come along so you can catch it on camera? Those ice dams are dangerous for you guys! I imagine they can build up pretty fast! Looking forward to seeing more of you guys but only in your time! I’m a diehard fan! So the good Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, I will watch your videos whenever it works out for you! Be safe!!! 💙🙏🏻💙🙏🏻💙

Thank you. So now we’ve seen both ends of the water system. Are y’all thinking of putting in one or more wells? It’s amazing the amount of work y’all accomplished in a year. It’s always enjoyable when you share. The reference of two weeks between fills was informative. A little if your cold is down here in Texas 39 no snow 20 mph wind. Tomorrow is supposed to be close to freezing. Thanks again for sharing.

Do you guys have plans of digging a well to solve the water situation at the homestead ? Snow ❄️ in itself isn’t a problem it’s when it turns into ice due to rising temp to is when the damage happens it’s a endless battle....Can’t wait till spring for the building projects to start up again....much love guys all the best for 2022......

Our roof is only a 3/12 pitch and we don’t get ice dams. The snow has slid off our roof twice this year. How sealed is your insulation on the ceiling?. Our ceilings have close to R-60 and everything is sealed real good.

Hello. Hope you guys are doing well, and getting prepared for winter. I’m currently working on my offgrid yurt build in Willow. I was wondering where you sourced your water tanks. @@MitchellsInAlaska Thanks for the reply! I live just past mile 80 near Denali Estates. We’re building a 24’ yurt and attaching a 12’x20’ building to the back that’ll act as our shower/laundry/closet etc. Lots of work and cutting it a little close to winter, but it sure beats living in Anchorage (and the cost associated with it)…
