This is the 5th video in my mini restoration series about the 1998 STX 1100. I acquired the ski earlier this year, and have been busy fixing broken parts and sorting out issues. I had a persistent “limp mode” I couldn’t diagnose, and the repair ended up being something very simple and cheap. Stay tuned for more content on this ski and hopefully some cool ocean rides!
Here’s what I have replaced so far:
Fuel petcock (used)
New marine Fuel lines
New Fuel filter
Swapped CDCV to CDk2 carbs
Rebuilt carbs with oem kits
New spark plugs
New battery
New (used) display
New seat covers
New traction mats
New cooling hoses and clamps
New exhaust hoses
New oil pump block off plate
Running Rec 90 fuel with Klotz TechniPlate synthetic oil premixed at 60:1
