This is a really good video, with your step by step, speaking of what to remove, how to remove it, and such. Well done man! I'm currently pulling my motor for my 99 Kawasaki 1100 STX...nearly there...

Glad the video was helpful. Good luck on your build. I have to pull this engine again as a stick jammed in the jet pump and I over revved the engine while it was freshly built. Lesson...dont take a fresh build on the water after a big storm when lots of debris is floating on the lake.

Yes it is very important to put that plate on correctly. It will tear your rubber coupler up and shred the aluminum part as well if you install it backwards. Hope your ski runs great!

Lots and lots of technical terms and information. I think it's a good thing you recorded this one. Hope you remember how to put it back together. Lol

I have a Kawasaki 900 STX, almost same engine. I have water flowing out the pisser and water temp sensor is good. With a hose connected to the top of the engine and out of the water, ski engine runs well and will almost hit 7000 RPMs. Put it in the water it immediately will not go more than 6 MPH and 2450 RPMs, any thoughts?
Great video this gave me the confidence to pull out the engine on my ultra 130 di. Basically the same engine. I want to try to fully rebuild it. I’ve just never done that before and am worried of messing it up. Any advice?

Yes the ultra 150 is basically the same engine setup and same jet ski as the 1100 stx. Your ultra 150 calls for the jet pump to be rebuilt every 100 hours. If you have mechanical experience and knowledge these are easy to work on. Read every forum post. Watch videos and video document your work. That makes it easier for you to put it all back together. Dont overlook cleaning and testing the entire fuel system. I have videos of this as well.

I just got givin a Kawasaki 1100 jet ski but it’s missing the part with the three pipes inside it that sits on top of carburetor what is this part called so I could order one,please I really appreciate it I don’t know about skis had few dirt bikes when I was a kid long time ago

That is the airbox, and the pipes are velocity stacks. Make sure that you get six long bolts olt it to the carbs, eight bolts that hold the top on and two that bolt onto the cylinder head. TCH Watersports in Eatonton has a few of them in their junkyard.

Is the clear tube in the middle of your engine cover for priming carbs? What exactly did you use for this?
@ShadetreeJetski

Yes I installed a prime in the glove box. They are available on Amazon.

Remember on your constant velocity carburetors to drill out your low speed cover on your low speed adjustment then replace the low-speed 35 jet with a 50 and turn the low speed screw in all the way and then out a quarter-turn because these are known for running lean on idle and on low to medium end
