It has been a very long road to bring this 1968 Case 580CK tractor's 188 diesel engine back to life. This tractor sat abandoned in the bush for more than 15 years before I brought it home to begin the work of bringing it back to life. There have been many long days involved just to get the engine to a point where it could start including a full rebuilding of the injection pump. But starting issues have prevailed. A viewer's recent tip, however, may have solved the fuel starvation issue. Let's dig into the fuel pressure regulator and then try to start this engine.
