Great advice: I am big on Transferable skills. Most of the transferable skills revolve around soft skills. I landed 4 high paying jobs in my lifetime with zero experience. Great video

Your first tip about thinking about questions to ask yourself when creating your avatar target is a great starting point for people in their twenties. Especially, the detail you gave into the questions for them to ask themselves when applying this first step. I know with everything we learn in life it takes practice to reach perfection, not just learning facts alone. My younger self would have appreciated your video before becoming a mom.

Glad this tip resonated with you. This actually applies to plenty of people who I work with are actually already parents and they eventually do consider making a switch especially once the children get older and they have more time on their hands.

I learned a great tip the other day that you should go to the job description you aspire to be in and write down all the skill sets necessary for the role. Then, go out and learn the skillsets yourself through books or online courses. You can also ask to do this work for free on the side so you can create clout and experience.

Absolutely! Make a list of the hard and soft skills and basically reverse-engineer the process. Don't forget to liberally drop those keywords and keyphrases in your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile.

Hey Dr. Tam, really great video! I like how you did such a great job detailing all aspects of the job target. I think it's always helpful when we can get really clear on our goals, but especially if our goal requires applying for a job, we don't want to be caught off guard. The whole process was laid out really well and I think it likely fills in a lot of gaps for people going through this process!
