Great video Sandy! Understanding that 60-70% of power is usually a better ball in key for good padel. Keep the ball low is often better than trying it to go fast. As usual, it all depends on the situation, but when hitting a vibora, is all about getting your opponents back, and unless I miss it, also giving you time to go back at the net. Best of luck in 2023!

Hi Sandy! I started 3 months ago with padel without tennis/squash background. I really love your videos and watched most of them. I play with my left hand and therefore I play on the right side of the court most of the times. When I play with righthanded players a lot of times it’s unclear for us whos ball it is when the ball comes through the middle. Could you make a video for that? If think there are more lefties struggling with this ;) Would be great!

I find myself using the vibora technique offensively and defensively instead of using the Bandeja defensively - as its a more natural stroke for me compared to the bandeja. Are there pros that do that too? Do I need a bandeja stroke?

Many of the pros only use the vibora technique…especially left side players. I feel it’s important to learn the Bandeja technique when starting but if you’re a higher level you may not use it much.

tension in the hands or relaxed?

it's a balance. too much tension will mean you can't play with a fast arm - too relaxed and the grip becomes loose.

I've noticed that few shots are played like a squash shot , closely parallel to the walls. Any reason for that ?

Too risky, basically. Consistency rules in padel. Going down the line (parallel) can be great if you can pull it off. On the womens tour world #1 Alejandra Salazar goes for this shot with some frequency, but as a general rule you want to hit cross court for consistency.

You would pronounce bandeja correctly if you end it with HA as in Bande-HA, anyway amazing video its just the bandeKA pronunciation killing me a little bit 😂
