Great video thank you! I had not seen a zig zag foot for a vintage Singer before, let alone see one in action! Tempted to try to find one for my 201k now…!

Thank you. I did another video recently on Vintage Zig zag attachments, which shows the three that I have. They are great fun to use 😁

Awesome video - again. What a lovely treat for my Sunday. (I watched it this morning and then watched it again just now because I enjoyed it so much the first time through.) What's the betting that a whole lot of people, after watching this (or even half-way through) immediately set about finding one like the second one you showed if they don't already have one? The difference that guide made is like night-and-day!! :-)

Thank you so much Megan, yes that little extension makes a huge difference, I was so surprised how easy it made feeding the fabric through 😁

@@ChrissaMcMahan-fg3ue I'll try and do a video for you soon. I've got a cam type buttonhole attachment, is this what you mean? I don't have a zigzag attachment with cams I'm afraid.

Love the second foot with a better guide. This would be great to have to finish off seams

Where online I purchased these feet

eBay or Etsy mainly, it's always good to keep an eye on sellers advertising boxes of attachments too 😁

Great video. I have a treadle sewing machine. That I often use as we struggle with power in SA. Where can I get this zig zag attachment. I must admit it's the first time I had even seen one. ❤❤❤

Thank you, probably your best option is eBay 😁

Thank you. I have got one of the unbranded the second zigzagar that you used. I had no idea what it was. I literally thought it was a ruffler that somebody had taken apart or some other foot that somebody had taken apart. I threw it in a box with other feet and other things that people had taken apart and didn't think anything of it until I saw somebody demonstrate one. I have the other piece the the little piece that goes in the front. I don't know what I did with it and it's frustrating. Then I bought a second zigzagar to go with a couple of machines that I'm restoring. One is a class 15 that I'm converting to hand. Crank and considering also building a treadle table for it and then I will fix up and rewire the motor and light in case I want to go back to that. So it'll be kind of a three in one and then I have a class 15 with a direct drive. Looking forward to using both of them

Thank you very much. Ah, might be fun sifting through all your attachments again, you may have some little treasures hidden! If you come across anything you are not sure of you can always email me (sewythingy@gmail.com), or message through Facebook (Sewy Thingy), I'd be happy to help you identify them. And your class 15 project sounds amazing! I'd love to hear how you get on with it 😁

@@sewythingy I found the attachment that goes on the end. It was in a box that was from the treadle that I bought that it came with and I've got it together. Put it back together. I'm going to clean it up a little bit but I'm happy to know what it is and I went through everything again and I found some cams for another singer. 603E that I just picked up. The cams were separate. I got them with the treadle but I was happy to find out that I had the cams for the 603 e. I also found a straight stitch plate needle plate for the 603 e so I'm actually doing pretty good here I think

@@sewythingy I'll try to keep you updated on how things go. Send you some pictures. I've got it all tore apart right now. Getting ready to go into a Sonic cleaner after I get the main body cleaned up That's going to take a little bit but so far it's cleaning up. Nice

@ecay wow, I think you've done brilliantly finding them, and coming across the cams and plate. I spent a whole Saturday once just sifting through attachments and bits and bobs, sat there and labelled up everything and grouped together doubles of everything (I seem to have so many adjustable hemmers and binders, but it felt good knowing I had sorted everything out. Now I can go to my "bits" draw and find everything 😁

@@sewythingy I think I just got lucky. I wasn't even looking for the cams. I just noticed that they were there. I still have some sorting to do. My mom sewing machine had a lot of high shank feet and I have acquired several other feet for low shank but they came with high shank and slant shank and I've got to sort those out but I definitely have some feet that I don't know anything about. Don't know how they work. Don't know what to do. Don't know anything about them
