Great video Nic! Me honestly I think the FSP-951s solid green look pretty cool.

fun fact: when the devices poll red in walk test, it actually signifies its device number (cool thing about notifier) ex: device 001 would blink once, pause, blink once, pause etc device 12 would blink 12 times, pause, and repeat

That's a super smart idea for the LEDs to turn green once walktest on a device is underway/completed. Wonder what other information the protocol can pass over flashscan

Ya know, I wish the US had the same requirements for testing bells and/or horn/strobes once a month, and then a full system test once a year. I think that is a really great idea! Because at my high school, there are some devices that I have no idea the last time they were tested!

@@nics-systems-electric Each county has different requirements I know mine twice in the first half the year second only once. Each year where I live every device is tested for alarm trouble sup if they are programed for it. They also disconnect and reconnect all SLCs to verify the panel can find the devices.

1:15 What is the running in the background? And I love this system replacement series last year! In fact, this system was very interesting to watch get replaced because it is pretty much all addressable except a couple of duct smoke detectors. But yeah! I love it! This is also the first time that I seen you guys use Walk test on any of your systems for the school district.

@@taxilthegreenchicken999 I like your videos. I am a fire alarm technician and for over 15 years we always use smoke aerosol to trigger the smoke detectors and then air them out with pressurized air. I don’t know how you are able to do that with magnets, is your company OK with that? and how about when doing an inspection with a fire marshal, are they OK with using magnets?
