I’m certainly glad that the college I went to between 2016 and 2018 had the fire alarms set up properly with the interconnections (I’m still not sure why the 5+ systems were interconnected, as from what I saw, the other panels would only beep and display “FIRE” and “Fire Link Active” (these were lights on the panel that lit up with the actual words, and yes, the panel was just inside the entrance in each building, I don’t remember what was displayed on the screen on the panel when one of the other panels went into alarm))

Great video, I look forward to see what those extra wires are going to be for. Also, your explanation at the beginning on how much of a PITA setting both modules to trigger an alarm instead of just supervisory reminded me of how much of a pain it was to get my Simplex 4207 and FCI FC-2224 to work together and not to worry about needing to reset both systems. I ended up using the smoke detector power on the FC-2224 to power a relay that would be wired to the 4207’s remote reset contacts. Obviously terrible for life safety systems, but fine for hobby systems. Anyways, sorry for rambling

You have done a great job with the system, i understand what you mean about the complexity, things can be a pain, also in your opinion do you find it easier to program things into the notifier panel than the firelite since the notifier panel has a built in keyboard?
@nics-systems-electric
9 ай бұрын
Thank you. As far as notifier verse firelite the keypad is much easier for labelling but that's about it other than that they are pretty much mostly the same however I do feel like the interface on firelite is laid out a bit easier and things interact more as you would expect if you weren't knowledgable on it if that makes sense. I find the screen shape on notifier makes it a little more odd how things have to be displayed sometimes.

For those going to say that he should redo the systems because he deals with problems adding things like he even said in the video. reason why on big notifier panels from what i see the relays aren’t programmable is because you’re expected to use a relay module, kinda wack but it’s whatever.

The video about the thing that texts you when the garage alarm goes off was one of the first videos of yours I watched. Now that there's a supervisory link will it also text you if the house goes into alarm? Based solely on this video I'd think no but assuming the first relay in the Fire-Lite is also programmable I think you could make it work.
