All sets are performed paused and with a belt, I also am wearing a Sacroiliac belt to stabilize the tendons in my SI joint which is worn around my waist (underneath my shirt) still hammering mobility and chiro, I am currently 18 weeks out from my next meet! I was wanting to train more beltless paused deadlifts from the floor but with my back in its condition I decided to play it safe and pull with a belt. I will still pause my deadlifts until I’m 13 weeks out. I’m actually happy with my performance today considering it’s been almost 7 weeks since I’ve deadlifted, and at least 6 months since I’ve pulled off of the floor. These next weeks I should be looking to hit some big pauses deadlift sets and be the strongest by far my deadlift has been, not to mention the best my positioning for the deadlift has been! Still have quite a lot of body weight to gain but I’m making sure to hammer all my meals every day! Very excited to see where this peak will end me up at 2400 or more is looking very realistic!
