thank you for the kind words, i also. was really touched by the things you said in the beginning of the video..and thank you SO much for reacting to this...Sadly, Jeff is no longer with us, he drowned in the Mississippi River in 1997 at just 30 yrs old, one of the greatest talents ever! He had only made 1 album before he died and had just a 4 year career altogether, that why so few have heard of him...what an amazing reaction you had to it as well! i cant thank you enough!!!

Pretty sure this isn't any kind of official account. I would think they would know that: Jeff recorded two studio albums (and there are many live albums that, IMO are better than his studio stuff) before he died. In fact, he recorded an entire second album, but wasn't satisfied and recorded it again. They were in the process of the final mixing/mastering of the second version when he died, so the album was released posthumously. The album is titled, "Sketches for my Sweetheart the Drunk." There's a release that was a double CD with one disc being his original recording of the album before deciding to do it over again, and the other disc being the final commercial release that finished the final mixing/mastering after Jeff died. He was there for the entire recording of both versions.

@@cloudshad0ws I have most of Jeff's releases, live and studio, and while many are a testament to his singular talent, I love Grace best. In that controlled studio environment Jeff was able to craft an album for the ages. From his vocals(lead and harmonies, to the string orchestrations, to the performances of his stellar band, and the invaluable input of engineer and producer, collectively they were able to produce and preserve magic. I so wish Jeff could have had the chance to explore all the sounds that his abilities and spirit would have allowed. That being said, I am grateful and cherish every note Jeff gave us ❤

@@cloudshad0ws He recorded and finished one album, Grace. Sketches for my Sweetheart the Drunk was unfinished, Jeff Buckley was working on it when he tragically died, in fact half of that album, to say the least, are just demos. You're saying that they were in the process of mixing and that's simply not true, even the most polished songs lack of proper arrangements... that's what Buckley was trying to figuring out. He was a perfectionist. I don't know from where you got all you're saying because if you listen to Sketches... you'll realize that the album is just a collection of, well... sketches. The title says it all.

I have listened to Jeff since I was in high school, and his music is very emotional for me. I have also played it for my children, growing up, and my oldest is 22. Sadly, of course, he died so long ago, such a beautiful young, talented soul, in an accidental drowning. I would do anything to have more music of his. I have never heard more raw talent.

His father, Tim Buckley, was also an incredible singer, guitarist, songwriter. Every song on "Grace" is spectacular. I love music, all genres, and during my fifty years of listening to thousands of albums, Grace, in my mind, is the greatest from top to bottom. His father is my all-time favorite artist, but Jeff's Grace my favorite album, hands down. Like father, like son.

I think this song is about a girl he loved that committed suicide. The opening lines set up a scene where he's at a funeral and then he laments his actions and takes responsibility for them. But it's never over, he can't stop thinking how things could've been different if she reached out to him. Such a sad song. (tears)

Jeff Buckley's album "Grace" was sent to me in CD form back when some of us were still signing up for music of the month by mail programs just to get the initial ten (or so) albums for free and then we'd unsubscribe. I was a little goth kid so this album shouldn't have interested me at all, but I decided to give it a listen and that was when I became a fan. I can't begin to imagine what he would have done if he hadn't drowned, but I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd gone on to a long and very impressive career.
