I am so glad to be finally planting/sowing my first seeds of 2021, a lot of different crops and varieties too. A lot more to come in the coming months tho so watch this space.

Thanks John, I am hoping to start it in the spring or at least when it’s a bit warmer. I will look into that black bitumen for the roof, anything that will look better is fine with me.

It's a messy job with bitumen but I think it does a better job.

I will keep that in mind, need to re-clad the sides first as I have rotting wood. Might even take it off the base and build a new frame as I think the damp issue is coming up from below.

Dont loose rhe hangover. Your gutter needs raised to. The felt so the felt. Drops into. Gutter... Need a hangover on the rear... Remove everything from around the shed and if you can raise up. On bricks or blocks... And. AIr flow to keep it dry.. Get an resin type wood filler... Cut out damp wood where you put your finger through.. On inside screw a small piece of wood to cover the hole and back fill with the resin fill from the outside. Sand to the shape of the timber boards and paint.. But lift. The shed so air. Can dry it out and keep clear around base... Then the water will. Show where it is getting in as it leaves marks.... A bit loke a. Snail trail... The shed looks fine and worth work... If you insulate... Remember not to put it right back put something on to stop it hitting the outer wall.. Its hard to. Txt things to explain..

You're off to an earlier start than us in Ontario lol. Like the larger seed cells.

I think I might have jumped the gun a little tho, it got to -1.5° (29.3F) in the greenhouse last night. The larger cells are great for tomatoes and cucumbers I find.

Tonight I have made a make shift greenhouse heater. Hopefully that will keep it warm, well at least not freeze or drop below zero.

@@AllotmentAdventure I use a crockpot with water and more recent I used roof gutter cables under a clear poly sheet for my early watermelon starts. Hope it does the trick. Have an excellent weekend.

I hope you have an excellent weekend too, I am using two terracotta pots over candles to make a radiant heater. Fingers crossed it works well.

Just planted my tomatoes and potatoes today. Now on window sill (not the potatoes) along side my chilli seedlings awaiting for the magic to happen. I don't plant my toms that deep though, be interesting to see how they get on. How is the new greenhouse bed getting on? Not filling up with water now I hope?

It’s not filling with water at all now thankfully, fingers crossed it won’t happen again. Tbh it’s my first year sowing tomatoes so wasn’t sure on the depth, hopefully they will be okay. I will be planting my first early’s soon but not yet as worried there is a cold snap coming.
