Thanks so much Brandon!! I knew you’d enjoy these two songs as much as I have for many years. Glenn has such a powerful voice, I most recently saw him back in February, and at age 72, he still can belt it out!! He has such a vast discography that you’ll need to explore. He even has a Christmas album, that you’d like.

You're welcome and thank you! Always great to find a new artist who moves my soul emotionally and my ears sonically! Once again we're in full agreement 😊 Yes, with a big discography, I'm certain that he has many more at this level! Enjoy the rest of your day my friend...

I’ve been LOVING Glenn Hughes in his iteration with Black Country Communion. Man,,.what a great hard-ass rock band. Bonamassa, Bonham…..a super group for sure.

I loved that! I've never heard his solo stuff until now. First time I became aware of him was when he sang on an ELP tribute album, and he was excellent!

Wow chest voice to head voice to falsetto very smooth thru out the tenor range transitional notes...I think he down plays his vibrato...you know he's currently with JBonham and JBonamasa in Black Oak Communion

Hi Ken, thanks for stopping by. Great musician. I've heard of both those names of course, but didn't know he was connected. Cool that he's still active and going strong musically. Thanks for watching and being first today! 🥇

Oh dear! This is one hell of a rabbit hole to go down! These two tracks already show the variations in his possible genres. Good for those not too keen on the first one to check out the Live version - and the 2nd track is off of Addiction, which I think is an incredible album to check out for real, heavy, down and out rock blues. His voice never ceases to amaze me, having listened to him for nearly 50 years now, which is probably why his music can be so diverse. I just found a short clip of him doing Golden One (Gabi's Song) which, even after this long, was totally mind-blowing! Also, just a true gent if you're lucky enough to meet him. Excellent break down - Keep 'em coming!

Hey Brandon! I'm gonna get crucifiec but to me the voice on FNO is somewhere between George Michael and Boy George 😂 It's a curious crossover between a very pop melody and some metal accents, I don't hate it, but I can't help wishing for less guitars and more strings... Blue Jade is not exactly what could be called subtle, but it's effective and I appreciated it. Middle Eastern motives always work well on guitar... Thank you Dale 😊 Cheers from Paris!

@@retroreactions.... Talking of 90s bands Brandon, I would heartily recommend a Scottish outfit called Del Amitri. I guess you could call them an alternative folk rock band. In addition to the instruments you would expect, they also have an accordion player. Justin Currie, lyricist and vocalist is quite a wordsmith. They had eighteen UK hit singles from 1989 to 1998. However, their album tracks are just as good if not better. Saw them live. Superb!

Hmm, I know the name. They had at least 1 huge song here played tons on the radio...my brain says it's the song "is it everything you thought it would be, the right time, the wrong situation..." let's go see if I'm right............YUP...Roll To Me..got a few lyrics wrong haha.....18, wow! Is there 1 other song that is by far the best?

@@retroreactions.... I assumed they didn't make an impact in the US for some reason. I really like, "Nothing Ever Happens" from their first album. The lyrics are really thought-provoking and it has brilliant instrumentation. It is not as poppy as Roll To Me which was from their third album. Good songs from that album include the single: "Driving with the Brakes on" and an album track called, "Never Enough".

Respect to Dale for his preferences. But they did nothing for me. I didn't find the musicianship very good at all. The last track is supposed to be a heavy metal album. It seems so far away from that genre. More like AOR, kind of radio rock. I would have thought if you want a singer/musician with great diversity who plays with a higher tier of musicians, play Gary Moore!

@@retroreactions.... Btw, I cannot remember what I have recommended before of Thin Lizzy, but the song "Dancing in the Moonlight" (1977) features John Helliwell and is just a great track overall. Short but sweet. Not often mentioned but one of my favourite tracks of theirs is "Johnny" (1976). It is a banger and a cautionary tale. There is some surprise instrumentation towards the end. 😉 They were never shy at mixing styles and genres. I just can't wait my friend!
