This is the first time I have seen a beach with goats, what a beautiful beach, and what a special one! The greek meatballs are the biggest I've ever seen and look delicious! That plate of tomato and aubergine cheese looks delicious too! It's a very casual town, and you can see the wreckage left after the war, I like it! Thank you very much for sharing! P. S. I would like to remind that climbing rocks in slippers is actually a bit dangerous, so be careful walking! 👍🥰👌

So great to see you back in Greece. And especially in Crete, my favorite place on earth ♥ I,m really looking forward to the next videos, and see where you gone explore the island. Crete have so much to offer - beachlife, food, history and beautiful nature. And the beautiful greek people ♥ I hope to see you up in the mountains, the small villages, Knossos, the west and south parts also. Matala on the southside is a small town, and it,s beautiful with colorful streets and buildings. It,s called the "hippie-town" of Crete. And on the eastpoint, you have Vai. It,s worth a visit. But I,m sure you know all of this that I,m babling about 😂😂 I,m just so excited, that you are in Crete, sorry ☺☺

I have driven 35.000 km on Crete, in May, in summer, in October, and Crete is incredible. It's special. Greece is special, but also Crete in itself is. Crete is called the small continent as it has everything a continent has. It has 5 mountain ranges, rivers, wonderful lakes like lake Kournas with it's beautiful colors, 400 gorges among which the longest gorge in Europe the Samaria gorge. 1050 km of wonderfully diverse coastlines. From lush to very wild. Especially the south side of the island is crazy with it's many mountains rising 1100 - 2500 meters straight out of the sea, so you an imagine what crazy views one can have there, also with the E4 hiking route going from left to right across the island. Then Crete has 9000 years of history and civilization and with the oldest sea navigation found on earth dated to 130.000 years ago and also the oldest human footsteps in the world found here dated to 5.7-6.4 million years ago or so. Crete has also the only natural palmforests in Europe like Vai or Preveli which is like a Oasis that one can imagine in desert countries. Crete has this wildness. But Crete also has lushness like the orange valley and many types of forests. Some areas like middle Rethymnon prefecture is like a whole range of different alternating scenery every 10 minutes. There is so much to see and explore in Crete. It's like it's own country but then a truly fascinating one as you can ski in winter, you have a huge range of biodiversity to explore, immense history and great historical sites, and wonderful towns and villages around the islands with wild scenery. Crete in essence is a paradise

Great Video.. my late father was from Chania Crete. He was raised at those old derelict houses you walked past.. My father passed November 2022. We live in Melbourne Australia and his wish was to be taken to his home roots to be buried. So we did the very long trip to Chania and my father is buried at the main cemetery there. I returned back to Melbourne in February 2023, and my mother wanted to stay in Chania for my fathers one year of passing. I’m going back in September 2023 again to bring my mother back home to Melbourne and to stay till end of November for the year passing. Great to see and hear you love Greece.. it’s a magical place with so much history.. Also, that wine you thought it was ,, it wasn’t wine it was Cretan Grapa(moonshine) it’s potent, but hey you’re on holidays, so it doesn’t matter 😂. Have a great holiday. A fine wave-proof beach you found. And you were brave to walk down to it on the very rugged, rocky and steep path. In flip-flops. Kaló bánio (have a good swim), as the Greeks say. Crete is great, in many ways. Also meaning big. We made most of it for six years ago on a 150 cc scooter, which we had with us from our home on Lesbos. Two ferries and 24 hours. Each way. A rented car is a better option. You are wise. Enjoy your trip.
