The 8spd auto is the one I want. Just check out what the 8spd ATS-V did against Merc-Benz AMG s63 on Head2Head. The numbers speak for themselves! Thanks for the vid! This is a great car.

It also have the dry sump system like the z06 so when you are pulling g's on the track you won't lose oil pressure. I absolutely love mine

Just wait until an ATS-V owner lets Tapout Tuning have its way with it. Quicker A8 shifts (w/ manual paddle mode even), reliable power. I love my Tapout tune, 600+whp w/ ethanol & mild methanol.

Speaking of big fat feet...wondering how high or low you ran your seat and if you felt like you had enough foot space. Did you notice any tightness there?
@TheHooniverse

+solostream I have my seat as low as it can go, and then I like the rear portion fairly upright. I didn't notice tightness in the foot well, at least none that stood out. -JG

Well id say the reason the automatic shifts are a lot shorter are due to it bein and 8 speed. But chevy should work on it. Kinda BMW when you put the car in its top sport modes the gear shifts are much faster

Any problems with it going into limp mode out there in that heat, Heard elsewhere it can''t handle the heat. Would hate to waste money on one of these only to find out it can't handle the Arizona summers

Only reports Ive heard of that were with the Z06 and its supercharged v-8. The cooling systems on the ATS-V are absolutely insane. Jalopnik actually did a great article on the amazing engineering behind the ATS-V's cooling capabilities.

Did some research including the forums and it turns out it does have problems with heat soak among other things and The Smoking Tire also said it as well

Nice. Although even with the high heat, I feel kinda like Caddi chooses long fast tracks to keep their car cool. My guess is that the performance would drop quite a bit on shorter tighter tracks with lower speed.

Beau Mancini I think this one would do well on the shorter tracks too, as the chassis and steering are pretty splendid. -JG

I mean you can look at the figure 8 times that it does compared to its German classmates and its easy to dispel that theory. The chassis is absolutely amazing, it will handle as well as any sedan on the market today and it will do so at any speed.

What a car. So many impressive choices when you enter the $60K range. But Caddy makes a strong case for the ATS-V. Holy crap is California becoming a dusty, fiery wasteland. By 2030 millions will have moved out, I presume. California's end days are near. No going back to Massachusetts, tho. Hell no. Can't afford it! And the cars aren't nearly as good.

The Whole northeast has some really strict emissions regulations, (mostly because of NYC) so finding Manual cars here is near impossible. Whenever I look online it's "If you want the New York Emissions Package, you need to remove Manual gearbox and add Automatic gearbox." Why? Give us Manual Or give us death!

These two cars are not in the same class. The M2 is much smaller and more nimble. The ATS-V compares to the M3/M4.
