You only scrape it the one time at the beginning Jim? Very interesting. The old man and I poisoned for a number of years and cured hides. We only used salt. Think what you're doing is called tanning? Most tanning is from bark solutions??? Are you gonna make a fish leather rain jacket Jim??? AWESOME movie. Thank you

Fish skin only needs one scraping if one is awesome like me Jamie.😁 Tanning, yes. Derived from tannic acid which incidentally got it's name from the tan oak tree when the acid was discovered. Many more tanning movies coming up Jamie. It's a new fascination of mine. Obsession really. I've made some fantastic projects from the leather but no jacket... yet.
