People feel better when they cut out gluten simply because 99% of the commercially available products which contain gluten are processed foods "junk food"! When you cut the junk food out of your diet and are forced as a result to eat more real foods with actual nutrition, you are 100% going to feel better! Another thing is all those processed products contain horribly inflammatory vegetable oils (megatrans fats) like canola, sunflower, or soybean, which are destroying people's thyroid, pancreas, and intestinal lining. You CANNOT find real whole grain bread products in a supermarket, I don't care what lies the USDA allows them to put on the label, it is not whole grain and it is perfectly evident because it is shelf stable for a long time. True whole grain products, even with added preservatives, will go bad within at least two weeks sitting on your counter. I have milled my own wheat for about 15 years. I rarely buy wheat products at the store and when I do, my husband and kids complain that they taste like cardboard compared to my homemade breads, crackers, etc. I have on occasion gone thru periods of 2-3 weeks when I wasn't making home milled flour breads because I was just too busy. During these periods we have just foregone bread because we don't like the store bought. During these times, I always experience constipation, lower energy, and my skin starts to loose its glow and starts getting dry. Now look, I'm just a few months from turning 50! I've used so many different skin care products and supplements over the years I could buy a yacht if I had all that money back, but nothing I've ever done has had the effect on my skin that consuming real wheat breads has. A couple years ago I was reading some scientific literature that talked about the dramatic effects of ceramides applied to the skin! Turns out, the ceramides they were using were wheat ceramides! I thought to myself, "well damn, that's why my skin looks so much better on bread!" Save your money and just consume real bread that still has the ceramides in it, it's a helluva lot cheaper than that ceramide skin cream.

@ROBERT YOSON All wheat is crossbred, that is true. Even in Yashua's day it had been crossbred, because the original grasses that wheat was bred up from produced only a very small head with about 1/3 the berries. The same is true with tomatoes, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, corn, and pretty much every vegetable or grain that we consume today. Crossbred is not the same thing as hybrid or GMO. A true hybrid produces offspring that is sterile, (in plant this equals seedless) like when you breed a horse to a donkey, the resultant mule cannot produce offspring. Crossbreeding is when you breed two members of the same species, like crossing a German Shepherd with a Labrador. The individuals may have differing physical characteristics, just like people have different skin color, eye color, height, bone structure, and IQ, but they are the same on the chromosomal level and when they reproduce, the offspring is the same species and can reproduce. GMO is manually adding genetic material or altering dna in ways that would never happen naturally.

The thing is the difference between the processed flours and breads and grains readily available in stores, and milling your own grains fresh from organic sources. So heritage grains, no GMOs, zero pesticides, zero preservatives. THAT’S the difference. Now if you have an ACTUAL gluten sensitivity or allergy, that’s different. But you won’t know unless you try milling your own grains. You don’t see the widespread gluten intolerances overseas. Why? Because the junk we have in our foods are illegal across the pond.

I don't think regular bread on the store shelves is the problem either. There's lots of different types of bread out there for loaves of it. You buy what you like and have it. Some of it's better than others. Most of us aren't going to mill grains. The most I'll do is occasionally make my own loaf of bread, normally with some wheat flour. It's just one part of the whole for what a person eats day to day.

I have been making my own bread using organic whole wheat flour and organic all purpose flour for years. I add 1/4 cup of organic gluten to my recipe because it makes for much lighter fluffy bread. Everyone raves about my bread and no one has had any ill effects from the gluten. It is a myth. What is killing people in regards to bread on the grocery store shelves is that is is lacking the germ and bran that is part of the wheat kernel. Stop messing up what God created for our sustenance and you will be healthier. Of course eating anything processed and sitting on a grocery shelf for weeks/months can't be wholesome either.

@@bobdylan2843 Well you hit on the biggest difference you and I have - our worldview. I am a Bible-believing Christian, thus I believe everything in the Bible is true. God created the earth is 6 literal days and placed man in a GARDEN and said "...Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." (Genesis 1:29). We were first created as vegetarians. There was no death before the Fall, thus no meat-eating. It wasn't until after Noah and the Flood that God told man to eat meat "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." (Genesis 9:3). So no, we haven't evolved over millions of years and, no, we did not start off as carnivores. Jesus said he is the Bread of Life and there are many references to GRAINS in the Bible as the true staff of life. It has sustained humanity from the beginning, not just meat.

@@GrainsandGrit The human brain is so intelligent we begin to think in terms of why does anything exist/meaning of life, and so religion is born. It gives people comfort, community and it was even used before science to explain natural phenomenon. Humans now know better then to explain natural phenomenon with religion. Instead we now use the scientific method. When you explain your rationale for why wheat isn't bad you are using the method of science. Attempting to get closer to the actual truth. Cattle that is allowed to eat what they are designed to eat don't produce that much methane, if they did, then why was there not global warming hundreds of years ago when our prairies were full of bison etc???

Celiac is a genetic disease, you are born with it. And yes, they can't eat wheat in any form, or most other grains for that matter. But..... less than 1% of the population are actual Celiacs. Those that say they are sensitive are sensitive to gliadin, which is one of the proteins, and the main reason they are sensitive to it is because commercially ground flour has all the vitamins, minerals and oils taken out of it, and that means the stuff that would protect you from being sensitive to gliadin is gone. Most people that think they can't take 'gluten' are fine when they grind their own flour at home from the whole kernel.

Tell me one animal in nature that eats processed grain/seed as part of their diet foundation. Only time grain is eaten in nature as part of a ruminants diet is if they ate the whole grass plant and the seed was attached. Grass plant is mostly cellulose, non soluble fiber. Humans our pets and our domestic livestock are the only animals on the planet eating processed grain/seed as their diet foundation and the only animals on the planet who have diet related disease issues. All you have to do is contrast our pet dogs when fed a 70% grain based doggie commercial fast food diet. They get the same diseases as humans diabetes, oral health issues, cancers, obesity. Its why they feed cattle grain in feed lots, it fattens them up fast before slaughter. Wild animals do not have diet related health issues and dogs are domesticated wolves their diet should be predominantly animal products not 70% grain. You just have to choose ignorance to not see this or are like most people addicted to high glycemic garbage. No animal should ever eat grain as a foundation. Our digestive system, as is all animals, designed for breaking dowm whole food. When you process grain and seed you create pure fuel, sugar and fat which completely over whelms the liver leading to metabolic dysfuction, disease and obesity. Makes zero sense anyone should think pour pure fuel into a system designed for whole food wpuld turn out well of course unless you stand to make a profit from it.

Hybridization is not the same as genetic modification, true, but hybridization does not always produce the best results, even if it is organic. Grain is cheap, and it's everywhere. In the 1950s America had an issue with heart failure due to high fats. The distinction of Trans fats and saturated fats were not made and all fats were labeled bad. They switched to the "whole grains higher carbs method" and almost laughably the rate of obesity spiked. It was the 50's, when the government talked, we listened with a salute to the American flag. The sad reality most doctors blame pop, or lack of exercise on the fact that we are obese. But after many years of failed agendas like "Play 60" they haven't updated our information. Why? Big Wheat is so large and actually funds directly to the American Heart Association. The sad truth is I was someone who struggled with obesity my whole life, I gave up grains and my life changed. I wad happier, sharper, never sore, never tired, and lost and have maintained a lot of weigh loss. I appreciate your takes and research but I am telling you these books changed my life. Doctors will out of one side of their mouth tell you to avoid any processed foods and out the other suggest one of the most addicting and highly processed of all foods. People are just animals, and like other animals we have a diet. That diet was never, and will never be grains. That isn't how our digestive system works. I have no medical background, I'm simply a premed who lost his weight and studied the words of medical professionals that changed my life and many others for the better. I went to my doctor shortly after I started. He was shocked, proud, and my blood pressure and sugar and rest of my blood work was spectacular. This worked for me, to me, these books are right. Only question I have for you is , do you know the pain and struggle of spending the majority of your life morbidly obese trying anything the "doctors" said would work only to fail and blame yourself. If not then I suggest you specify your audience because you have no right to speak to us. I'm going to create my own content soon, I'm going to help people like me realize what lives they can be living.

Great video. You earned my sub. I personally am skeptical of the mentality that the grain that has supported the human race for thousands of years is suddenly the biggest poison in our diets. I think the issues is more complex and nuanced. For example, is ones diet lacking of fiber or is the wheat consumed mainly in high sugar items or other junk foods? Does the person have chronic dehydration? I'm saying this somewhat hyperbolically but this is an issue for many people. Is the eater of the wheat lacking in good fats? All these things matter to good health.

one thing to bear in mind... the whole "gains weight on a gluten free diet" is divided into two TOTALLY different reasons: 1. people with actual celiacs disease... an auto immune disorder. they gain weight because their intestines are growing back their cilia, and they can finally absorb nutrients. during WW2 during the starvation of the netherlands/dutch cities by the Nazis? the kids with celiacs THRIVED while everyone else was suffering, because there was no wheat! not "all kids" most kids were doing horribly, but actual kids with celiacs. 2. as you stated a lot of gluten free products (much like any other 'something' free products, whether fat free or etc) are LOADED with other stuff to make up the taste and texture. like most fat free products are totally loaded with sugar.

Most of the time when people are arguing AGAINST wheat, they are actually talking about the FLOUR. Our FLOUR has been messed with, not the wheat itself. Bread and flour you buy from the store is dead. It has been stripped of nutrients and fiber, many of the store-bought breads have even more gluten added to it, so this all creates a mess. I am certainly against FAKE bread and FAKE flour. We need to consume whole grains the way God intended and if we mill it, it needs to be done at home to keep all nutrients in tack. It's why Jesus said to pray for our DAILY bread :-)

If u heal ur gut u may be able to tolerate occasional wheat breads and/or other grains Staying off them while ur healing is usually reqd. There are many things that cause gut biome disruptions. Junk food is grain based so it’s not just the chemicals in it but the grains too. Desserts are grain based but candy isn’t. Ice cream is made with nasty dairy, not raw or even pastured. 100% agree. The fact remains, the wheat grown and produced in the U.S. is a hybridized wheat that was developed in the 1990's which has 14 new strains of gluten which the human body cannot digest. The only wheat I'm aware of that is the old variant which does not contain the new strains of indigestible gluten are wheat produced in Eastern Europe. If you're going to consume wheat, that would be the only ones I would recommend, but even with those, I would limit my consumption.
@GrainsandGrit

Actually, because I grind my own it IS different than flours purchased from the store even though it is from the same wheat plant. Store-bought flour has been refined and is void of all nutrients and benefits. You mill it at home, you are consuming wheat the way God intended. It's similar to consuming whole corn vs consuming high fructose corn syrup. Just because high fructose corn syrup is not healthy for you, it doesn't mean corn as a whole is a poison. Wheat has been hybridized, yes. Just like your apples, bananas, and many other food items yet no one is screaming about them. Hybridization is a common natural farming method that farmers have been doing for centuries and, frankly, nature does it as well. Wild wheat thousands of years ago was hybridized naturally and also by man for agriculture. It doesn't make a food poison simply because it has been hybridized. Wheat is not poison when consumed whole and intact. It has sustained humanity for thousands of years. If you don't like modern wheat, then use the ancient grains.

@@GrainsandGrit the reason no one is screaming about bananas or apples being hybridized vs wheat is obvious...modern wheat has serious gut damaging effects no matter how you prepare it. To say that modern wheat being milled the way God intended makes it safe is a radical comment, just as someone saying GMO corn being milled correctly is the same as God intended. These are NOT the same products as yester years. Let the consumer beware.

@@SG-ji5ij Modern wheat is not genetically modified. Look it up. It was hybridized just like so many other crops, animals, etc but it is still wheat. Our FLOUR has been messed with. Not the wheat itself. People are having issues with THE FLOUR because it has been stripped of nutrients, many of it bleached, then they use this flour to make bread and add even MORE gluten to it which completely destroys the flour-to-gluten ratio. It's why I have seen MANY testimonies from people who state they have gut issues with store-bought flour and store-bought bread, but then they switched to true whole grain bread that they mill themselves and bake and they never had a single problem with it. GMO corn is NOT the same as non-gmo corn. Just like GMO wheat would not be the same as non-gmo wheat, and I would NEVER advocate consuming GMOs. God didn't create GMO foods. A lab did.

@@GrainsandGrit the wheat has been altered. U.S. Wheat has been hybridized which was introduced and began being harvested in the early 90s. It's not just the flour or how it has been milled. Add to that major change the high amount of gut and nerve damaging Oxalates that all types of wheat have and you've got a grain that is not suitable for humans. Likewise, I never stated that modern wheat is GMO, I stated my comment that if you milled GMO corn according to God's ways, it would still be garbage. The same if you milled modern wheat according to God's way. They are both garbage food for humans. Best of luck to you. Cheers.

Why don’t you just take this video down. Apparently you have annoyed some viewers. But please redo it being sensitive that you do not put yourself in a position to be sued. We all have our own experiences with wheat and I am one of them. I read Wheat Belly years ago. I have severe psoriasis and leaky gut and can not eat any wheat products at all. Without realizing it, I spent my entire life eating refined flours and maybe stumbling over your and Sue’s videos are what brought me to the realization that all ingredients important has been stripped from all flour products in order to extend their shelf life. I am now milling my own wheat and intend to try it God’s way. The jury is still out on whether I will be able to tolerate freshly milled wheat but I sure hope so. I love bread and can’t imagine that God would give us a food to sustain life that isn’t vital to our health. I’m not a scientist but I speculate that it is the lack of nutrition in wheat products and the harsh manmade chemicals that we now use to grow everything that is the real culprit to our ill health. So glad you are listening to what God’s Word says. Please be patient with those of us who doesn’t yet trust Him totally.

I was 257lbs, had an A1C over 10, my doctor wanted me to take insulin, I felt terrible, and was unhealthy. After 3 months on the wheat belly diet I had lost 65lbs and after a year I ended up at 160lbs. That was in 2015 and I’m still following the wheat belly diet. My A1C has remained just over 4, I weigh 165lbs and feel great. This lady has no idea what she is talking about. I’ve lived without wheat or any grains for 7 years and I’ll never go back.

@@drmarctagon I also see your point. You’re totally correct; it’s not the same bread. But my point is; it’s not the grains that are harmful; it’s what we do to them that is.
