I feel like this guy would be super nice just because he sees so much potential in these worn, broken, old objects

I think it is the Japanese philosophy - to fix broken things and not trash them like the Westerners do. I personally love it. And he is so good at restoring things :) Love watching these videos :)
This was truly satisfying to watch. It reminds me of when I used to "help" and watch my grandfather fix things when I was a little kid. Thank you for doing this video. Great work!

I love the fact that there is no music, every other channel has this annoying music that covers the sounds of the restoration.

@@airforce9872 I feel like MyMechanics took a lot of notes from Kiwami videos (he was among the first silent stylish anon creator types, that went for this ASMR style, I think, but I'm not an Internet Historian) and then refined this for restoration, and then everyone else slowly started blending in this style. There are familiar motives that these videos take from one another - absence of music, editing decisions - but I don't think as "someone did that first" I think of that as "there are more and more channels that are extremely satisfying to watch" For example, Atenales here is very nimble with what he does, and I actually think it's a sort of a style that everything he does is done manually - no cleaning machines, grindning tools and et cetera, even though this makes polishing such a slow process)

Love this! It's so satisfying and soothing. I would've been so on edge trying not to break anything! Brilliant work!

I love railroad antiques and history, and seeing this brought back to its former glory with such skill and talent was incredibly important. Thank you! ❤
I like how he lit it at the end with the lighter he fixed earlier

Beautiful restoration :) It's like a window to the past ! I love that you repaired that red glass because usually in restoration videos the guy just replaces things like that...

Beautiful video, emotional even. Maybe because it reminds me of when my grandfather used to show me around at railway stations when I was very young, I was always fascinated by them at the time... Even though I have never seen this kind of lights being used, it still brought very pleasant and peaceful memories to the front of my mind. Thank you very much.

I’d love to see his collection of all the things he restored. This is so fascinating and satisfying to watch. But then again, no one searched for this.
So you’re telling me he likes everyone’s comment ?

These videos are just so cool to watch. I love seeing how he takes old items worn down by time, that most people would disregard as junk, and give them new life. His patients and skill are just awesome.
