As a kid of the 70's & 80's i can tell you the stat order was Strength, Intelligence, Wisdom, Dexterity, Constitution, Charisma... I don't think I'll ever forget that for some reason. Kinda like an old telephone number. 😂

I played druids through the 1E and 2E eras. They were always d8 hit die and I always considered them at least semi-martial. I was never afraid to wade into combat with my wood warping dudes.

At 55:00 'Initial Spells' refers to the initial spells in the MU's spellbook NOT spells that they know per day. 'Bonus Spells' on the previous page allows extra spells based on high INT. I think your reading it wrong, bad text heading does not help, IMHO.

Why is the ranger d12 when the warrior is D10. There are so much good things in this RuleSets. But then there are some blatant imbalances... When you have to prevent your players from playing more than 2 you know you messed up.

Call me a heretic, but I 100% disagree with the statement from Gygax in the beginning. Role-playing absolutely is storytelling. You don't have to completely railroad the players, but open sandbox games are IMHO boring. There should be some semblance of a plot, just the plot can change (although I find too many players purposely try to wreck the story)

Wait, so monks are now European monks, but not pacifists. Or are they? I have another name for the class. Jedi Knight. You could re-skin this game as a science fiction setting, like Star Wars, and the Jedi type character could be played by this Monk. They block shots somehow, even ranged ones, and can do lots of magic.
