I was so lucky to be fishing at Chatton when Alec turned up - and to benefit from his experience was priceless. I fished at Rutland the following Wednesday and put into practice the methods used in this video and had a great day, catching 10 of my 11 fish on the ‘wicked white’ buzzer. Chatton is a great fishery and has its own campsite right next to the lakes, so if you’re touring the area, you really should pay this place a visit. You never know, you might bump into Alec 👍

Can I ask,how long do you have your droppers?,what do you find best to avoid tangles?.
@alecharveyfishingandflytying

I do my droppers about 8 inches to start with Shaun , this also allows enough length to change flies, if required 👍🎣🐟

A very enjoyable video again, love straightljne buzzer fishing.. If i can ask Alec ......... How many flies on average would you use in a session.. From you tried and trusted / Go to flies how many different fly patterns would you use in the full season 60 /80 / 100

Thanks Allan , that's a tough question 🤣 It all depends on what time of year it is as to what you use , it could be lures , nymphs , worm's , dries , all sorts of indicator patterns , its really endless. That's why we all carry loads of flies around even if we don't always use them 🤣🎣🐟

great vid! my question is do the two buzzers not drag the suspender buzzer under? and do you use flourocarbon and degrease leader? any help appreciated!
@alecharveyfishingandflytying

Cheers Lee , I only use the top hat suspender buzzer on its own ( single fly ) The washing line method I used in the video was a mini daddy on the point and 2 buzzers on the droppers.👍🎣🐟

Fished Chatton on a couple occasions & the fish were going mad for tiny flies on top. I know about the nothing fly but it seemed too big for them! What flies would you fish? They wouldn't take anything but these tiny flies. Maybe 2mm size.

It's really difficult at times to match the hatch when the flies are like 2mm tiny dots and the fish are pre- occupied with them . Its frustrating for all of us when this happens. 🎣🐟
