I just can't understand half of what he is saying - his speech is so mumbling. It seems like he talks without opening his mouth enough. Don't usually have a problem understanding peoples speech. I put subtitles on but it seems they can't understand many of his words either. So it was frustrating as what I could understand seemed very informative and enlightening.

Thanks, Richard. Dr. Naiman's input here is excellent... practical, distilled common sense.

If you watch the show alone, you will see what cutting out carbs and highly processed foods do to the body.

I would love to know the answer to the question posed, should we be aiming to have fats (proteins) one day and carbs a different day? I would like to know this as it relates to good digestion. As the question is asked I imagine it refers to meats or avocado.

Ted never indicates that it should be on separate days, no. He advocates for the intake of protein/energy (carbs + fat)/fiber in a proportion that supports the individual metabolism. Some people will do better on more fat/less carbs. Others will do better on more carbs/less fat. Combo junk food (cake, potato chips) are easy to overeat because they are nothing but energy which is not satiating.

NO one can argue with anything he said there surely? But in the online nutrition wars you never know 😄 The point about eating more at the buffet after consuming a doughnut reminds me of something I heard about bodybuilders consuming doritos as a trick to eat more after they're full.

100g of raspberries is not 5g of carbs. It's all carbs too. He meant sugar I guess.

5g of net carbs per 100g of raspberries. The rest of the carb is fiber.

@@maxhunter3574 ...fibre is also carbs I think.

@@swayp5715 not NET carbs though, therefore does not rise glucose or insulin levels, unless you eat a ton of soluble fiber, and even then it's only minimal. So the speakers premise of 5g of carb per 100g of raspberries is valid.

This is all just low-carb nonsense bro science. The carb/insulin theory of weight gain has been thoroughly debunked

Who sponsored the studies that debunked it? - The food industry/ big corporations?? Studies can often be made to confirm what they want them to confirm. Don't know who to trust these days and end up confused and paranoid.
