I am quite amazed at seeing this truck with 80k miles already. I just got my Maverick XLT Hybrid a couple of weeks ago and I really do enjoy it so far. My plan is to mostly use it as a commuter vehicle and the occasional recreational outing. It is good to see 80k on a Maverick and not seeing many mechanical issues with it. Good things to hear. I have always been a Ford man, but I have been wanting a Tacoma really badly. At 55 years old, I still struggle with how expensive vehicles are now which makes the Tacoma less attractive. Also, my racing days are behind me so I will be happy to get there in comfort. I have had a Fusion for 5 years now and I still love it. This would be a great second.....fourth vehicle.

I have a 2017 fusion hybrid thats near 100k miles and has never had any issues. It was well taken care of as part of a coporate fleet up to about 60k miles. The hybrid maverick is basically a raised fusion hybrid. Despite many ill informed people, the newest eCVT post 2017 don't use belts or chains, and are pretty damn reliable as long as you respect it's not made for acceleration, but for the regenerative braking and getting good mpg.

This is a great review. I put a deposit on a Mavrick 2022 in December 2021. With the understanding, they could not put the order in until the summer of 2022. So finally, in Sept of 2022, it was put in. Then, an email came in Nov saying everything was going to be delayed. I would not have to pay the marked up price because I ordered a brand new one from the factory, so I will pay sticker for it. Built my own truck and got the Hybrid version. With the metallic blue which I have not seen anyone with that color. Got the XLT because I live in Vegas, and I don't want the leather seats. Just got an email with my build and will begin May 29th, 2023. Of course, it will be the 2023 model. This was a great review. You do far more with your truck than I plan to do with mine. You tow things, which I don't plan to do. The only thing I plan is some wood, guns, and mainly street driving.

It does check a lot of boxes for everyday use and utility. I put some Morel 6.5" speakers in the front doors to replace the lame stock ones and a Kicker Key 200.4 four channel amp which is just plug and play and adds 200W to the sound system, massive improvement. That was my main gripe with my Maverick even though Ive only had it about 2.5 months and about 900 miles. Overall I'm really impressed and happy with my purchase of the truck. I just put an order for a 2024 Maverick at my local dealer, and at the time, it was mostly just a stars aligned kinda thing. I went to drop my Escape for a service, and was walking around the lot waiting on my girlfriend. I had told her before we left the house to pick me up before I bought something, but when the salesperson told me I would be the first order at that dealer for 24, I was stoked. I got the AWD XLT in atlas blue with 4k and luxury package, with all weather mats+carpet. Kinda wishing I had sprung for one of the offroad packages, but I figure I can get suspension and other stuff done by myself for a bit cheaper. The only downside I've seen to these truck is the wait. know the 2023 orders take priority over me, but hopefully I can get mine soon, especially since I should be pretty high on my dealership's allocation list. That’s a lot of mileage in 1+ years. Nice review.

You should get a set of cheap front seat covers to keep the front seats clean. Well under $100 for a pair are available at Auto zone, advance auto parts, pep boys, O’Reillys. Will help a lot at resale when the potential buyer sees nice clean seats. This seems like a home run for Ford. They should have anticipated the huge demand in retrospect. It’s a lot of vehicle for the money at msrp. Most pickup buyers don’t actually need a big body on frame super duty truck. They need something they can put light perhaps bulky items in the bed occasionally, maybe tow a light trailer, something that drives more like a car. This truck pushes all the right buttons. And it will age well. Conservative nice styling will look good 20 years from now.

Great review Daniel! That little truck is a mini Beast! Be sure to show the mileage each time so the haters shut up. As a regular follower I know it's true 80,000. Be safe out there!

I’ve got a 22 maverick and so far I’ve loved it except I’ve had problems with it going into sleep mode twice now. First time they replaced the battery cable and now I’m having the same problem again. If you buy one it would be a good idea to have a portable jumper available. Other than that it’s great. Love driving it and it has tons of room for passengers. I Just wish the charging system was a little more reliable

From what I saw in a video the charging and harness connection could be lose connection or bad soldering for battery not charging, downsides with this model truck

Man i'm sold on the Maverick now, just need to wait on order banks to open again so I can't get screwed on the dealership markups right now. I have no need for a full size gas hog like my Tundra nowadays and the main thing is being able to fit a motorcycle in the back or at least tow a trailer and fit up to 4 adults if needed.

You did a seat of the pants relatively high mileage review. You did not put on a flowery shirt and that is good. Excellent job for sure!! Also very good vid work...

Nice review. I just paid off my Maverick Lariat FX4. 13,000 miles. Try doing that with a truck that starts at over $50.000.
