I must have watched half a dozen external thread videos & failed every time except this time. Nice clear instructions :) I'm using FreeCAD 0.20.. Thank you.

Thank you for the video and subscribed. Your narration and instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Can you create a tutorial as how to create a hollow cylindrical Stevenson screen enclosure (with vertically stacked horizontal louvers) for a DIY weather station.

Nice, clear. There can be odd glitches like you say depending on the helix and triangle position.

Thank you very much. Followed your clear and concise tutorial, and made a 5/16-24 (with help from the "Machinery's Handbook" for the meaty pitch and thread depth info.)

Great instruction !. Many instructions are a mess doing different steps always using shape binder that is clearly not required. Seems like there are differences in process even in the 0.19 version scope. For example I do not get display issue You demonstrated..

I have one question. Both the bolt size and nut size in the videos I have watched is the same exact diameter. Isn't there supposed to be a bit of clearance? That is confusing me.

Sir my helix is at a 90 degree angle to the body, how can I correct it
@noneya574

Click on helix in your part tree, there is a bar called placement that lets you move the helix around in any axis or rotate the angle. Need to switch to wire view to see what your doing with it.

This is crap. I could never get threads to work like that. If you want to make threads easy then get the "Fasteners Workbench". Can make any screw, bolt, washer etc you can imagine, THREE MEASUREMENTS, TWO CLICKS THATS IT. Not only that but you can make a "Tap" cylinder and thread it VERY EASILY (also one click), to inbed threads inside a tube using the "Part workbench" "cut" tool.
