Not true at all. He completely lost his voice around 2006. He has been working on his head voice for a while now, and it actually sounds acceptable now, but its nothing like his old voice.

He sings completely from his throat and nose now. He blew his voice out in the early 2000’s and he’s never been the same since. Even on fuels last album with him he lost that raspy ness he had

Yeah if he continued to do that raspy voice, it would've harmed his vocal ability. Charly Garcia is a good example, he had a REALLY raspy voice in the 80s and 90s but he strained it so much that he kinda sounds like someone who didn't drink water before a gig now

Wonder how many times those pipes have been operated on. Years ago he blew them out and had to go for surgery! He sounds great here though. He has really strained his poor voice during the years!

That singing style goes so fast. The energy that he has though will never die and he goes to show it. Nobody will ever sound like him, and even if they did there is no way they could keep it for years.

God I remember this day! Before Covid I just walked over from seeing Filter waited all day down at the white stage for Greek Fire and Pod(worth it) and seeing seether Fuel and Live to finish it off! It was like I was kid back in the 2000s again.

Me too it was my first big lesson in picking 🤘 No matter how many times I laid guitar down and got rusty over the years, I could always pick it back in a few minutes. Like riding a bike. Brett makes it look easy

He came to michigan on this tour. It was a small venue, outside , all day event with a bunch of bands. It was literally downtown and the stage was on main street. Very low key event. After he was done, i was able to just go to the side of the stage and meet him. Me and my wife both got pictures with him, and off he went into the darknparking lot and dissappeared to a bus maybe... One of my best experiences ever in my life.

For those that don't know Brett had a on stage collision many years ago with a band mate that broke his nose and required surgery for a deviated septum which changed his voice drastically, he has recovered pretty remarkably...his nose looks different too if you didn't see the visual difference as well

I seen them in Japan the following month. Brett's voice has changed some but still sounds good. Performance of the band is what really makes a concert and they pulled it off.

Um...no. Kurt Cobain was a vocalist, not a singer and he would never have been able to touch something like this and his voice would have never improved to this level. Kurt wasn't the greatest live singer.

Pretty sure Brett by now is at the point that he is singing to preserve his voice. He's doing what singers usually have to do as they get older, his voice is still there. But he is singing with a different tone, put less strain on his chords.

Seen him a time or two live since he’s taken out his version of FUEL on the road etc. always been a fan of his. Always will be!

Joe Pica Kevin Miller and Carl Bell tried to get the Original members together in 2018 for a 20 year reunion of sunburn, but I think Brett wanted no know part of it from what I’ve heard. That Would’ve been a cool tour. I remember Bell talking about it on his fb.
