The footage in this video is not the best, I goofed up. One of our cinema cameras has an integrated ND filter wheel, that can be used to reduce the amount of light coming into the camera. I must have bumped it when carrying the camera, as a filter was partially on the entire time I was filming boarding up the windows - it doesn't show up on screen until it's fully switched on - so that's what the weird dark spots on the left of frame are. It's so dark in the mill, that I just kept thinking my lights were really struggling to light the area up - these cameras need a lot of light at the best of times. Oh well - enjoy the dark and dramatic colour grade!
Next week's video is going to be all about why we chose to look for a property in Scotland, and how to search for a derelict. We'll cover the research we did for each property we were interested in before bidding/making an offer. If you have any questions about buying a derelict, please let us know below!
