1060 6GB used for $300 still the best price/performance deal. 1080p medium/high 60 FPS no problem. It's still sad & desperate to pay MSRP for a 5 year old card but it's the least overpriced card for its performance in gaming, unless one manages to find a good deal on a 1660 Ti / 5600XT.

Makes me glad I bought a 5600 XT back in the beginning of 2020 for below MSRP despite the reviewers saying it's a bad card. It performs quite well even at 1440p medium high to high. Then I bought a 2070 Super for less than MSRP a few months later due the 5600 XT was needed elsewhere and the RX 570 that was in that other system got moved to the storage box... Then when the 6600 XT was released, I ended up buying one because my local Micro Center had it available at MSRP for more than a week and figured I could use it for something like mining. Nope, it went to another family member's build.

I bought a 970 about three years ago during the first mining craze for $120USD - it was a total steal at the time, most were going for $200USD+. In fairness though, it's a great card, and fulfills my needs reasonably well.

An interesting side note, most higher end professional cards such as the Quadro generally use ECC video memory. A lot of them also have hardware acceleration for some things that a standard GPU won't have. The combination of specific software optimisations and specific hardware acceleration and ECC memory means a low end Quadro can often outperform a top of the line standard GPU in certain uses, one example would be AutoCAD.

I really like your channel for showing of some less highend, more affordable and older hardware, rather than the next "RTX 3080ti vs RX 6900xt Cyberpunk 2077 ULTRA Raytracing [4K]", that pretty much no one is going to experience anyway. I personally do own a PC with a GTX 1650 super in it and even as someone who has been playing videogames for over 10 years now (also on highend graphics cards) I have to say, I think it's perfectly reasonable to game on a more low end GPU. The 1650 super can run every recent game at 1080p/60fps and most of them at reasonably high settings (the games I play and I bought this Computer for, can easily be played at maximum settings with 100+ fps). And even if, on these cheaper/older budged GPUs, you have to reduce the settings a bit, I actually find it quite fun fiddling around a bit to find the perfect visuals to performance ratio. Also in an actual gaming situation I think the settings don't matter that much anyway, most AAA Titels look great on all graphical presets and often times I do actually struggle to tell if someone is playing on low or high settings, without a direct comparison. So for that matter, I think your videos are not only very entertaining, but also very useful.
@kamilciura7953
2 жыл бұрын
1650 Super is overlooked card. It is almost as good as 1660 (regular one ) with about 10% efficiency difference. However, because most people thimk that it is just OC of regular 1650, which was a huge letdown when it comes to price vs. performance. It also didn't help that most people were comparing it against 1050Ti, not regular 1050 for which it was a replacement. Still, even regular 1650 is not a bad card for gaming at 1080p if one is not obsessed about super high settings in games and resolutions beyond 1080p.

@kamilciura7953
2 жыл бұрын
@@quinnmarchese6313 I do not OC my hardware either (well, apart from Vita and PS TV). I was saying that people mistake 1650 Super for a regular 1650 with factory clock boost, while in reality, this is a very different card. Boost clock tops out at 1725 MHz whereas in case of regular 1650 it is 1665Mhz so it is not a huge difference and yet, so many people think that it's all that nvidia has done with the card. What would be the point? 1650 Super is equipped with faster memory and bandwidth: 12Gbps GDDR6 vs 8Gbps GDDR5 in older card. This alone makes a big difference. Of course, there is also new version of 1650, also coming with 12Gbps DDR6 memory, but it is still weaker card as differences do not end here. Older version of 1650 have 128 GB/s bandwidth, while more recent one and Super come with 192 GB/s. But the key thing is number of CUDA cores. 1650 Super pack 1280 CUDA cores vs 896 in case of both versions of 1650. This gives 1650 Super a hefty 40% lead in terms of efficiency when it comes to running games. This makes if falling very close in terms of performance to a regular 1660, which have only 10% advantage (which has been replaced by 1660S, most likely for this reason).

I feel like it's worth trying other presets and resolutions with DLSS on the T1000. The reason the performance doesn't increase or sometimes decreases is almost certainly due to the lack of tensor cores on the T1000. DLSS technically always has a performance hit, but it's very small due to the FP16 acceration provided by the tensor cores. The performance increase seen from the reduction in resolution when using DLSS is more than enough to make up for the performance hit, thus framerate is higher overall. Without the tensor cores, DLSS has to run on the shaders, which increases the performance hit from using it to a point where the performance gains from running at a lower resolution are not enough to make up for it. But the performance hit from using DLSS isn't static. It increases depending on how much you are upscaling (going from 720p to 1440p has a larger performance hit than going from 1080p to 1440p), and what your base resolution is (a 4x upscale from 540p to 1080p will take less GPU processing power than a 4x upscale from 720p to 1440p). On top of that, there are diminishing returns from lower resolution to increase performance. So even if DLSS doesn't improve performance when running at 1080p performance mode (which is a 4x upscale from 540p to 1080p), it might improve performance at something like 900p quality mode (Roughly a 2x upscale 600p to 900p).

Well, all nVidia Quadro GPU's have nVidia Encoder integrated in the drivers since the Kepler architecture came out, so technically speaking these are from the Quadro series and therefore should have nVidia NVENC, but i'm not sure. Even if they do not have it for now, it will probably be an addition to future drivers / Quadro RTX Cards, such as T1200 probably.

Thing is, in my country the T600 is 280 euros, and with 280 euros here you can get an (used) R9 390X which has 8GB of GDDR5 memory paired 384 GB/s of bandwitch that sums it all up with a BUS Width of 512 bit, all this together makes the R9 390X about 80 - 90% faster in both rendering and gaming than the T600. The Radeon R9 390X does require a PSU of 700 - 800W best if it's at least a Bronze or a Gold series..

Also if for rendering you mean working with *assembly* or *computer-aided drafting* intensive programs, I personally think this card could fulfill the job if you work at smaller projects, but for big projects it is a big no-no, the VRAM is the limitator fact, to not mention the limited bandwidth too, for rendering, an used K4200 could probably do it better than the T600 tbh.

@@groovemusic9126 thanks for answering Used R9 390X is around $410+ in my country So I'm thinking maybe buying this and mostly using it for editing 4k vids and gaming while streaming What's with the current prices of GPU and the possibility of the prices going down not yet in sight.... *sigh*

IIRC, this is based on the same TU117 GPU die as the the 1650. That means that there's probably no RTX cores on the unit itself and the chip itself likely only supports a max of 4 GB VRAM. The T600 is cut down compared to the 1650, but the T1000 looks like it's got the full array of CU. Overall, prices for the T1000 are about on par with a normal 1650, so I'd probably just get one of those unless I'm doing a SFF build where I really need the single slot design.

No. The laptop 1650 has the full core count. It ships with the 1024 cores. The 1650ti is basically the gddr6 version of the gdde5 gtx 1650 laptop edition.

Lol nice terminator reference, T1000 seems like the best choice to me since it hits 60fps where T600 couldn't and i would personally pay the extra for it, good series of cards for the price they ask.

These cards only make sense if you run multiple instances. Like 4 office employees on one system instead of building 4 independent systems, hypervisor, remote desktops, low cost low power transcoding or video walls: up to 32 displays each doing 4K. It doesn't need raytracing or a lot of memory for that because you're not (pre) loading textures to it nor 3D rendering. For these things, the low price makes a lot of sense vs buying gaming cards (and vice versa). Nvidia artificially makes it so you can't do these things with gaming cards.

The Quadro T1000 is essentially an Underclocked GTX 1650, given its power differences (050 Watts on the T1000 vs. the 075 Watts on the 1650; not to mention the Clock Speed divide); the latter's 0I9.50% average performance uplift is likely brought on by both the higher clocks and GeForce Driver optimizations that going the Quadro route for this level of spec isn't all too bad if you can make use of Quadro Dependent applications in production too. Now, I don't know what would happen if a modder were to change out the 0I GB modules of GDDR VI on the T1000 and replace them with 02 GB modules of the same bandwidth, 0I28 Bit: While for Gaming you can expect noticeably better Framerate Lows and for Production you can expect to handle more VRAM Intensive situations (Higher Resolution Video and many AI tasks) if the VRAM were to be upgraded to 08 GB, I don't know how much those 02 GB modules would up the power draw, and if it goes above 075 Watts, then that would be a problem, it would be nice to see somebody look into this and figure out if a Frankenstein'd T1000 (08 GB) would be able to run stable without running the risk of damage to the PCB and internals.

@El Cactuar Looks as if you are unfamiliar with this practice, though I'm always happy to explain, you're not the first to ask about this and ultimately won't be the last: ~ I have always had a habit of adding a "0" to any number between -0999 and +0999 since at least 2002, but more so since 20I0: It was initially under the impression that I always felt that something was missing in a number below the Thousand mark, but it turns out that my numbering habits are not as unique nor are a niche practice, as many Arcade/Console titles and Computer Applications dating as far back as at least I970 tally their numbers in a virtually similar method; this numbering method has helped significantly over the years with certain equations, Counting Accuracy, and especially when documenting anything I have done in the Scientific and Financial fields, where even being one digit off can create catastrophic results, it's better to be complex and safe than simple and risky. ~ The unique usage of Capital I in place of "1" when not specifically referring to Code or Product Model Numbers is a personal habit of mine since 20I5, due to my distaste with how most fonts lack the Stem Line at the bottom of the "1"; I would rather have a Straight Line for the number than a line with a protruding point at the top with nothing on the bottom. Fonts such as Elsewhere have "1" as a Straight Line in design and thus Capital I is not needed, though it is rare that a font forces those with this visual preference to use Lowercase L instead of the former two (a scenario where "1" has no stem and Capital I has the Top and Bottom Bars, while Lowercase L is the Straight Line); I study Handwriting and Fonts a massive lot as part of my work in Art and Entertainment, so this is a subject that I have many years of research on, it's been fun to learn and has helped me better understand both local and industry directions on this front.

I've was thinking about giving those cards a try because I got my hands on a slim Dell Optiplex with i5-2500 quad core and already tried 210 and 710 which ended up causing major bottlenecking. Was also trying to also get 1050 ti or 1650 low profile but they are over priced or get snagged. So could use an alternative card.

The T1000 and below ALL use the TU117 die - that is to say a GTX 1650, which is weird that DLSS even works as those cards lack Tensor cores and instead use plain FP16 cores. (Tensor Cores are essentially FP16 and lower precision math units, connected together in a grid so that the low precision instructions can accumulate into a larger output.)
