A gangland kingpin who was shot dead outside a pub had a £20,000 bounty on his head, underworld sources have claimed.
Marc Webley was gunned down at about 11.50pm on Hogmanay outside the Anchor Inn, in Granton, Edinburgh.
The 38-year-old died from a wound to his head after a balaclava-clad gunman ambushed him outside the bar and fired the fatal shot.
Another man, aged 39, was also injured and is receiving treatment in hospital.
A gangland source told the Record that £20,000 was offered to take down Webley.
