Garbiñe has to be one the most likeable players in the game, wonderful to see her win the title

Garbine Muguruza is one of few women's tennis player who never got intimidated by the Williams sisters, while others want to avoid Serena & Venus on grand slam stage, she on the other hand, always looking forward to playing them esp. on grand slam finals. Tough girl! What a fighter! Way to go Garbine!

Started supporting Muguruza a few years back because I liked how her name sounded, but I soon realised how incredibly she played. She loses points, games, matches but remains confident and focused. She plays a skilled and aggressive style of play that has a subtle mix to it, always surprising with her shots. She's a really down to earth and refreshing character, very pretty, Spanish (I'm not even Spanish but I've just got this ingrained love for Spain)... And now she's world no.1! Somehow, when I began watching this lady play, I knew she was going to keep getting greater. It's a pleasure to say Muguruza is my favourite tennis player 🙏😎
Muguruza showed tennis played with near flawless concentration, timely power and reflexive variation when required. Great win for this young champion. She's truly growing into her role as an elite; and what a smile, amazing dimples! :)

Patrick Kehoe Well look at her tennis in the past two years excluding Roland Garros 16. She couldn't almost pass two balls over the net and playing with such a negative attitude . If she was more consistent, she could dominate the tour, but this is female tennis and consistency does not exist except for Serena.

Saiizy Md Being a Spaniard, it pisses me off that she plays well only a tournament each year. She could be a consistent semifinalist in every premier and GS, but she isn't. I hope she plays with the right attitude that is key for her tennis.

I wonder how Federer (and Mirka) feel just knowing that the whole tennis world adores them so much. Of course I think people love Nadal and Djokovic in similar ways, but I think that with just how long Federer has been around so many of the younger players, probably like Muguruza, grew up watching him.

Jun Bermas French crowd is terrible, they are e bunch of bullies. And of course Muguruza was playing against a local girl so obviously they showed their poor manners. That doesn't mean she's not charming.

Good for her.She's really stepping up.Conchita definitely had a positive impact on her.I remember Conchita winning the title over Navratilova many years ago.She kept her cool,and went for her shots.Just like Garbine did today. I have to give Venus credit for making it to the final.Great tournament for her.Particularly considering her age,and health issue. I think Garbine will win many more majors.She looks like a future Hall of Famer.

The last question was sexist. Would they ever watch a man who female player they would want to dance with. This subconscious patriarchy exists at the highest level and even in the so called "evolved societies".
@timkrall6280

They wouldn't ask the men's champion because the women play the day before so by default the men's champ already knows who he is dancing with.
