All my brassicas and veggies are started and most of this year's flowers are already reaching for the skies. Next week the cold hardy plants are headed to the garden, and it should be warm enough to set the rest of them in the greenhouse. Starting all of my garden from seed allows me to have greater control over the health and vitality of my plants, as well as avoid unnecessary sprays and treatments. It also really helps to distract from the winter blues and gives my hands that are itchy for dirt a bit of satisfaction. Besides, is there anything happier than little green shoots pushing out of the soil and spreading their leaves to bask in the sun?
