So y'all know this album is what Katsuhiro Otomo was listening to when he was drawing Akira the manga, which led to him hiring the Geinoh Yamashiro-Gumi to do the soundtrack for the movie. I'm super excited because I'm going to meet Otomo next weekend in LA.
a trick : you can watch series at Flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

No matter how many times I listen to this song, it pulls every bit of emotional self control I have and leaves it tumbling to the wastes. This is a song of emotional perfection, and I rarely, if ever, say that about anything musical. A truly unique experience from the truly one of a kind Geinoh Yamashirogumi.

What I find kind of funny about the whole 'live-action Akira' thing is that Katsuhiro Otomo, the creator of Akira itself, is the executive producer of the film. I'm not really sure HOW much control he has over the project, but I'm pretty sure he'll try to keep everything in check.
@ShouriSeifuku

Black Mage Anolis Don't know how much you know about the history of the attempts so far. Leonardo DiCaprio owns the rights to make the film. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was conceptualized as Tetsuo. Leo attempted to re-write the script and bring it to the new fictitious city of Neo New York. An alternate reality where the Japanese conquered most of the west including the US. This was an attempt to make the heavily Japanese-cultural-influenced anime appeal more to westerners. Leo in the end scrapped the idea (very good for him!). I don't know exactly why, but i believe backlash had something to do with it. Otomo is probably calling some shots, but i don't believe he has 100% control over the film. I hope Leo stays true to the story. There is more than just a bunch of kids with bikes and superpowers running around. It's the story of a civilization as a whole, with Tetsuo, and ultimately the return of Akira as the new beginning.
