You guys should network with Shoryu Bradley of Gyobutsuji Zen Monastery. For those that may want to immerse themselves in Zen meditation and for a period truly live a life defined by Zazen they could go there and practice.

When you say that when you look into big mind and you cannot find no beginning no end, no limit, no parameters, no self, then who is not finding???? For me in the state of non-dual suchness, there is no finding or not finding, there is no looking at all! But the ability to look remains, yet unapparent... All this manifestation arises from that ability to look. From looking arises small mind. Small mind is a point of view, all though that point of view is always changing, or, you can say, re-arising, determined and formed by previous moments of looking.,,,,Big Mind is beyond point of view. I wish you well

what if you ask "may I speak to the big mind?" and people say "what the hell is big mind?"

Roshi, It is my understanding your experience of "Big Mind" came as a result of years of Zen practice. This is an intimate realization, not an understanding through explanation. No one explained "Big Mind" to you. Like many people here on KZitem, you put information here and do not respond to comments. It is a moot point to comment. The method is simple. The more you explain, the further from it you get. Why not help people see it for themself? Thank you for sharing.

@@aurelienyonrac We can only empathize with others using our own subjective view. Sadness just like happiness is not permanent, it all will pass. How do I feel? I don't know. I don't cling to it. How do you feel?

He actually has a simple and practical method of voice dialogue technique in which you start to ask questions to different voices (actually perspectives)--the protector, the controller, the skeptic, etc. until you ask the ego to speak to Big Mind--at that point---wait and listen without expectation.

Yes. Enlightement is not useful. That is because it is not a thing. Nor are you a thing. Discovering what you are is of no advantage. It won't stop the pain It won't explain anything. The mind can't get it. Luckily you are not the mind. I hope it helps

Dennis has a history of financial and sexual, unethical behaviors. He is not entitled to call himself a Roshi and certainly isn't awake in any real sense. It's a shame as he began as a clear teacher back in the 80's and then went downhill.

Do you consider psychedelics to be a valid technology to reach such states given that it is taken in a proper context?
@aurelienyonrac

It is not a state. It is a realization. It does not come and go. Psychedelic will make you pay and just give you an experience. Why take something do be what you are. No amount of "doing" will ever become "being". Meditation is being friendly and accepting all the parts that you are. I hope it helps Nonviolent communication is interesting to me those days
