This Chula Vista team was one of my absolute favorite LL teams ever. They were fricken amazing. I'm not impressed with any of the US teams this year :(

Most teams have a rotation, and theres a limit to how many innings you can pitch in a day/weekend.

@flodaddydizzle it shouldn't have, because kiko garcia and luke ramirez were like the best hitters in the 2009 llws

Learn how to spell first, and next who are you thinking little league is better than travel ball
@Thesteeke

Where are you from? Clint Coulter did play travel, and he cant play little league because it only goes up to 15 years old. You cant get better playing against 45 mph pitching or getting on base because of errors. Go to east cobb, texas, California, carolinas, florida to see what real baseball is. For the record, me and 3 other people from my team got invited to go to a pitchers and catchers camp at USC because Ray Tanner saw our team play in a travel ball tournament.

If you know anything about arm care, you would know that you are supposed to throw every day unless you have an injury. MLB pitchers throw long toss every day they are not pitching in a game, and even before a game they do a light session of long toss. Players are getting injured because they are not stretching properly and not running when their arm is sore, not because they are playing double headers.

Well the coach of the travel team was probably a dad who never played past little league. That travel team was probably bad, or you were one of the better players in your league. There is no such thing as a high school scout coach, it is illegal to recruit players for high school teams. My school has sent players to Clemson, Newberry, USC Sumter, USC. The only one school in my region that doesnt let people play travel makes players send clips to colleges, so they dont get on to d1 teams

Honestly they wouldn't, I played little league when I was 12 and you aren't allowed to use a big barrel bat, the picthing mound is closer so you have to react mcuh quicker.. Now im 13 and play for the Denver Pirates 13AAA team in Colorado. We went to Las Vegas the first tournament of the year and are going to Omaha in June. Honestly, it gets a little tougher on travel teams but there's not much difference. And if you dont believe me.. Look us up! on usssa.com, search for colorado, 13&UnderAAA

Do you even know what USC is? I got invited because of travel ball, not rec. Have you ever seen college coaches at rec games, NO. How old are you 9?
@Thesteeke

When you get older the competition gets much better, an average 16u travel team can probably beat any babe ruth or any other rec league team easily. Next year at 14u if your team goes to any tournaments in the southeast you will get killed, trust me. Go to east cobb where the average 14 year old fastball is 80-82. If you want to tryout for an east cobb team you have to pay $3000 just to tryout

we never go to the southeast but we did beat 3 tough teams in omaha but we did lose a semifinal game to a California team 8-2. But you have to admit southern teams have an advantage due to the hot weather and being able to play all year long. My team is only a Triple-A Travel Team, Majors are much stronger. Probably the best Colorado Majors Travel Team would be 'Nike Team Evolution 13u' from Pueblo, CO. Have you ever heard of them?
@Thesteeke

it actually does, you have games almost every weekend. Most teams practice 3-4 times a week when high school isnt playing, whereas almost all little league teams only practice once a week with 1 or 2 games a week for like 2 and a half months. There are some teams that an average little league team can beat, but 85% of the teams are competitive. Practicing more and playing better teams makes players better, not facing players who have never touched a baseball in their life before.

Yea southeast teams are really strong. Colorado is having a global world series tournament [14Open] later this month and there is going to be some really strong Texas teams there, should be fun to watch

Not sure if I have heard of that team. My team is 14u major, we have only lost to a 15 elite team and a 14 AAA team. There is a huge advantage to the whole south because of the weather. The best travel teams in the country are the East Cobb Astros and the Diamond Devils, both from the southeast. The Diamond Devils are from where I am from, they have a 16 year old who throws 90+. They win every Perfect Game tournament they play in with the best teams in the Country

i played against the team that more than half of the chula vista players played on about 3 months before the llws. they were still as good as they seem on the little league field and we were playing on 50 70 fields.

There is a world series in Myrtle Beach right now, I am from Myrtle Beach, but my team couldnt play in it because our coach is on vacation. I heard there are a couple very competitive teams in the tournament. Texas has very good travel teams, like the Houston Banditos and the Houston Heat. Im not sure is the Heat has a younger team but i know that the Banditos have a 14u team. The thing about Colorado is that there is no top d1 college that can compete with SEC or ACC schools in baseball

I`m twelve and ever since I was ten I had a coach who was trying to recruit me for 2 years to play on his travel team. I finally said sure this year and tried it. It was the stupidest thing I had ever done and I was either better or just as good as anyone on that team. Plus everything they taught was wrong. And last year I had a highschool scout coach that has coached severall people that were drafted in this years draft or are heading to big name college schools like Stanford.

you do realize any travel ball team would destroy these teams travel ball plays on bigger fields
